They still have the Molly in cognac. I called them this afternoon looking for the Rory in cognac and they said they only have the Molly. I did score a Tourmaline duffle though :D It was the only one they had and I put it on chargehold. I'm still wondering if I should get the Molly in cognac.

hey everyone! Yesterday I picked up a graphite/berry Molly at an outlet. I fell in love with Molly when I saw it in cognac and black cherry at a Macy's, but by the time I was more seriously looking to make a purchase it had been discontinued and not actively in the outlets...I grabbed the graphite since it was the only one (and, as they say, "you can always return it!") I'm starting to like the bag more and more, but am still wondering if I'd like it even more in a smooth leather...to me it a cognac or bc is a more classic/timeless bag, and from what I hear it might be a slightly lighter bag as well? Anyway, a few questions....

1. Opinions on comparisons between the textured and smooth? Weight, style/timelessness, how they look when broken in
2. Should I have paid $200 for Molly (only 50% off)? There was no red price written in the tag - it was on a table with other legacy bags near the back of the store, but clearly not on the clearance shelves.
3. At this point, what are the odds of finding a black or cognac at an outlet? I feel like it's a lost cause, and only if someone happens to make a return

1. Some ladies love the textured leathers but in the Legacy line, I prefer the smooth.
2. I paid more for my Molly at Macys. Any discount on a bag u love is a great deal IMO.
3. U may still be able to find black at outlet, cognac seemed to be not as readily available in outlets

I just received my graphite/berry Molly and I LOVE her. I am a huge fan of the textured leather and I think that it's more durable in the longrun also. As for it being timeless, it is a classic satchel imo. I think that the graphite is a great alternative to black and the fuschia gives it a pop.

Hi! I can't answer alot of your questions, I'm sorry. But I will say that I prefer the smooth Legacy leather over the textured. I don't have a Molly, I have Rory. I have black, cognac (they are pretty) and the textured graphite. I haven't even cut the tags on the graphite though....I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It's going back in the AM. I do, however, have a textured duffle that I love. I haven't had any of them long enough to know how the leather wears on them. My black Rory has a nice slouch. I haven't cut tags on cognac yet either. I have read the corners of smoother leather can wear and loose color so I moisturize as was suggested on this forum. Good luck! Molly is a cute bag. I can't believe Coach is discontinuing it's production. It has been very popular.

I don't like the textured leather at all. I prefer the smooth legacy bags. I have had textured leather before, but of this version I am just not a fan. It feels sticky to me, and just not as sturdy as the smooth. I didn't notice much difference in the weight of the bags.

I think the price you paid for the Molly is good. Anything below full price is awesome for a bag you love.

I ordered my Marine Rory over a month ago and it's supposed to ship tomorrow. I see a credit authorization on my account today which means it must be on schedule!! No shipping notice yet, but I'm so excited!!
