Went to the Rome store a couple of weeks ago. They still had the mini-K's on display. I was told no K or B were available for sale. Saw one lady shown a Garden Party and Evelyn.

Everyone at the store was helpful. A new SA assisted us in the fine jewelry and later in the scarf dept. Great customer service. We were there for about 1.5-2hours (it was raining outside) and purchased 3 scarves. Alas, they didn't have my size for the rose gold bracelet I was intrerested in.

Hi, ladies!
Just went to Florence store yesterday. Not bad inventory though! Sure no B or K) I'm not a regular customer there, but my husband speaks Italian and we were really warmly welcomed and had a nice chat with a SA - she said they give bags mainly only to local clientele, first gather their preferences, then phone them as they receive any pieces which comply with them, so we were offered to leave our preferences if we like, but we are not often visitors to the city, so we just left. They offered us Berline, Jypsiere and Medore clutch, but I'm only into B or K at the moment)))
Tomorrow we are heading to Milan, not much hope (almost none to be honest), but will try my luck! Any success stories from Milan recently?)

I picked up my Kelly last week from Milan. But it's one of my main stores next to Germany and London. I've lived everywhere *haha* but from my experience your chances of scoring a bad will be really low. They keep their bags for local costumers and usually order them. At least this was my case, I ordered her last September.

PM me and I'll share with you the names of my SA in Milan!

Hi, ladies!
Update on Milan. Been there yesterday, scored nothing - the SA told me they do sell to let's say walk-ins/tourists if they have stock, their next shipment is expected to be in December/January and she said "if you come the moment we have stock - no problem, you'll get the bag". But I assume she meant "first we will divide the stock between our loyal customers who left their preferences and if there is anything left - will give it to regular customers". I believe that the stock at the moment is really low, I wanted to see Berline and they only had one in light pale beige (really pure color:(
No bags at all on display! Before we went to the bags section we bought some slgs and two carees, the choice for both was also so-so.
Hope this helps! Those of you who plan their trip in December/January should definitely try their luck!!!

Visited Rome for the first time last October and my first stop after checking in was Hermes of course. I asked for a cdc and gp30 instantly. The SA said she might have one (gp30) but it is reserved to a local customer. BUT if I buy something else she might be able to show it to me. So I bought the cdc and a necklace. She then showed me the gp30. I said Ill take all three and followed up if they have charms. She showed me a paddock. I took it and asked if they have a rodeo, she showed me one in pink and ended up buying it also. :)

was flying from Milan Malpensa, asked for a Lindy, was told upfront to purchase silk items (only silk items) in euros1500 for me to purchase the bag, as per the SA, its a very special bag, was told that they have 26,30,34. Was shown a 26 in Taurillon blue hydra,L30 swift ruby, orange bi-color. Not exactly that sings to me.
Honestly, i don't really mind to buy other items together with the bag, but why only limiting to silk, and the SA was literally rolling her eyes when i asked if I can mix with other SLGs, purfumes etc. Anyone heard of such rules before?

I think it's outrageous to ask costumers to purchase other items before being offered a bag. I'm really disappointed and gutted that they asked you to spend XY EUR just to get a Lindy - they should really change the way they operate....

....I've been there at the Malpensa store only once and honestly can't say anything negative but I guess we all make different experiences

I was there last month and the SA nicely told me sorry but it's the policy now. I was shown some lindys and toolbox... wasn't interested in any but I chose a cashmere scarf anyway as it's much cheaper than my home store.

Agree, can't we just buy item they we want or like then purchase the bag we want

Agree with you too, if only have to buy the silk item that I dislike inorder to get the bag, forget it but if can purchase item that we like before buying the bag then is ok, right!

I know someone was recently able to purchase a Halzan and a twilly to match with no trouble in Rome (: She was not pressured into buying anything else, though they did ask if she wanted to buy a wallet, etc. Perhaps the more expensive bags are the ones they are limiting, and you can get a Halzan and Evelyne more easily?

I understand how they want us to buy other items before buying a bag, happy & frustrated at the same time , happy since they upfront told me to buy the items required, frustrated cos it seems like a 'no room for nego' deal when i tried to ask if i can mix in SLGs, perfumes, belts & some other leather bracelets since I told her that silk & cashmere is not really relevant for the tropical weather in my home country. Well I just take it as a amusement, hopefully I can manage to find the bag i like soon.

If my memory serve me right, Halzan was quite well stock along with their new bag Virevolte & the octogon bag various colors. the Milan store did mention to me they could sell me a GP/Gypsiere/Bolide without any purchase, but at this moment, not in the mood for a GP.

by the way does anyone know how many H stores are there in Milan? seems like there are 2 in listing but the other one is just a display store and not open for public sales?

Hi everyone!!
I finally visited the new store in Rome today with a friend of mine!
We went to the new one in via bocca di leone where I spoke to the best SA ever! She is amazing!
I was intentioned to buy an Apple Watch but I totally forgot that they don't have any of them and the only store who sells Apple watches here in Italy is the Milan one, so I chose to buy a 90 silk carre.
This lovely girl called Valentina was friendly, direct, amazing and very patient, and also found the way to take my friend into the Hermès world explaining her the different silk sizes, Hermès world and history ecc.
I had the chance to try on a rouge casaque garden party and a black Evelyne sellier! I was over the moon :) they had a great stock!
I was joking with her asking about a Kelly or birkin and she answered "Sure, whenever you want, I really see you have a sincere love and commitment!" and I was speechless because saying something like that in Milan you would receive "the look", they don't joke so much with customers, but here in Rome omg they are so open to new customers! (Yeah, I'm so proud to have Rome as my hometown ahah).
I actually don't know if they consider for example Milan customers as their own also, I left my phone numbers and email and she gave me her business card like in the other stores i visited, for now they are really the best!

For the second Milan store, Minnie.dearc, I am about to find out what this other store is like :D I'll be back home next week and I'll have a couple of days off work! I will investigate ahah!

So sorry I didn't take any pictures from our day in Rome but I was focused on my friend, we've not been together since years :)

... And after I got home I got over $1000 in tax refund. I wanna go back! :balloon:
Dear sandbag and other U.S. shoppers in Italian Hermès boutiques --
Would you kindly let me know if your experience was the same as mine: I received only a long printed receipt to fill out for Global Tax Refund with the envelope to Bratislava, and not the typical forms as I did from non-H boutiques. I have received the other two refunds on my credit card statement but not yet the one from H. It was in the same envelope as the other two, and those refunds came through 2 weeks ago. So I'm worried! I'm expecting a refund of almost $1,500 - is the amount what may be delaying it? Any feedback from your experiences in Italy would be appreciated. TIA
