Does anyone know what percentage of the original cost of a watch does Torneau buys it back for (when looking to trade in for a more expensive watch?). I puchased a rolex Datejust SS last year and I would like to trade it in for a Yacht Master. Would anyone share their trade in experiences? Thanks.

I've never dealt with Torneau, but did with Gray and Sons (Miami). I was selling my Cartier Panther Ltd Edition in 18K white gold and they were the only ones who gave me the most money for it. And I've approached a lot of jewelers. They also offered 2 options - consigment(you wait until it sells) and right away. If I waited I would actually have more money than I originally paid, but as I bought another watch already I settled for slightly less of what I paid a couple of years back. I would love to hear the outcome if you do decide to go ahead with Torneau.
