I have the Rogue 25 in Forest Green. The hardware is the most recent 'Black Copper" - which looks like a tarnished gunmetal. After less than 2 weeks use, the hardware finish is wearing off (fading, chipping), especially on all of the clips - also the feet. Has anyone noticed this happening - on the green, or any of the other colors with this hardware?
After reading about this problem on the first edition Rogue - the gunmetal, tarnished looking silver hardware, I also had the problem on one of my Rogues........ customer service made good on the problem (as I read happened to many others), but I really hate giving up on the Forest color.
Oh no! I'm sorry this is happening to your bag. This is the thing I worried most about getting my Rogue. I heard about it happening with the first editions and on the matte black hardware of the Swagger so I really didn't have high hopes for the black copper. I've used my bag for a week straight and don't notice any fading or chipping yet, but there are a few shiny spots appearing on the feet. They're still the same black color so not sure if those will end up turning silver or what. Now I' going to be paranoid! I actually just removed the longer straps since I find myself not using them. Hopefully by keeping the hooks from rubbing on the metal loops, I at least won't have to worry about fading and chipping there.
Do you think you'll talk to Coach about it? For the price of these bags, the hardware really should not be doing this! You'd think they would have fixed the problem after the first editions!
