I really like the new dreamer bag - I bought one at the event tonight (and of course it was excluded), but I’m not overly impressed with most of the new line. I don’t think it’s ‘bad,’ or like the bags during coach’s rough patch, but 1941 was really special and very nice quality imo. Sad to see it go!I do not understand this rationale when the 1941 line creed is what drew ppl back that had strayed.
Just my personal opinion but the newer offerings aren't intriguing to me and the last couple Rogues I purchased (washed red in particular) was lacking in the original Rogue quality. I'm glad I snagged some of my essentials when I did. I don't "need" anything more.
I personally like the satchel style better and it seems to hold a little more. It depends how you plan on wearing it. i consider the satchel doctor's bag (like in my avatar) to be a little more of a casual look. My business is more financial so I wouldn't wear this with a suit to a meeting, for example. I probably wouldn't wear the original rogue with a suit either but that is me. I'd probably carry something more like the Cooper or Drifter. You really can't go wrong with either choice!Heeeellllp! I am eyeing a rogue satchel in ox blood and the original rogue. Which one do you ladies carry most often?
Part of me is glad so my wallet can take a rest but this also drew me back in to Coach. There are some non-1941 bags I like but don't covet as much as 1941. I love the Nomad and Edie 42 but not a fan of their polished pebbled leather bags at all. Maybe they will be coming out with a new line that will be as equally nice as 1941? Coach was trying to elevate their status and seems like moving away from their 1941 line is a step in the other direction. I felt the non-1941 bags were fairly generic looking.I do not understand this rationale when the 1941 line creed is what drew ppl back that had strayed.

This is interesting. I just texted my SA and this is the first she's heard of it the 1941 line going away. She said she's going to look into it.My husband called and talked to my SA, they are getting rid of 1941whatever is there is what they have, but no more is being made or designed or anything.
ETA: rogues and dinkys are still being made, but not as part of 1941 collection anymore.
I think this is more of a personal preference. I have the satchel style in chalk, and while I love it and wear it, I think I prefer the regular Rogue more because it can be worn as a satchel and as a shoulder bag.Heeeellllp! I don't believe Cooper is from the 1941 line but it is one of the nicer NY line bags, for sure! It is on my list.I don't get why they are getting rid of 1941 line. tbh I'm not impressed with the new releases. Dreamer is not lined with leather interior and is overpriced. Parker is pretty(I really want to add it to my collection) but the leather is not of premium quality, not lined with leather either. Same with Charlie, I like the look and quality but not comparable with the 1941 pebble leather.
btw is Cooper from 1941 line?

I just spent time going thru all the bags online and very unimpressed with the direction they seem to be going. Hopefully they will bring in some things to fill the 1941 void. I agree.....There are too many Charlie, Dreamer and Edies (still Edie!)
That was my Impression to. Also I did like that the 1941 line is very subtle concerning the logos. But - coming from Germany - I always hesitated in the 1941 line because it has been a horrendous time in Germany... I know, it sounds strange, but this always was my Feeling...I don't mind the Edie, but not impressed by the new bags either. More than the design, I'm actually ambivalent about the hardware; maybe it's just my perception, but the brass looks so shiny on things it's almost tacky. Quality has definitely gone down on that IMO...

Cooper is 1941. Here's a screenshot of one from earlier SAS showing the designation. Glovetanned leather and suede lining. It's on my wish listI don't believe Cooper is from the 1941 line but it is one of the nicer NY line bags, for sure! It is on my list.

I agree.....There are too many Charlie, Dreamer and Edies (still Edie!). There is one Dreamer I may consider but would want to see it in person. It is one with the tattoo on black leather front and signature sides. It seems more novel and probably won't like it in a few years but you never know until you see it IRL. I have a ton of Coach product from the last 2 years so I a guess I can enjoy playing with them. There is only one Rogue still on my wish list and it is the Keith Haring Roge 25 in smoke grey with the sequin heart on it. I had ordered it from a retailer when it first came out and returned it. I like the message the heart sends without looking like the recent heart bag straps that remind me of Candy Land. The rogue has more of that tattoo look or leaning that way and the sequins are unique. Haven't heard how the leather on that has held up since it had a sheen to it. It is still on the website but sells sold out....so why is it still listed?
