I have the oxblood and it has held up quite well. I've been carrying it almost daily since the beginning of April. It's developed just the right amount of slouch but still holding its shape very well.
I have to admit this has me worried too. I went to look at an oxblood in a store near me, intending to purchase it. It had a mark on the side of the bag in the shape of a smile- I'm assuming a strap laid against it in shipping. The SA told me they had tried to get it out but no luck. I would have bought it otherwise.
I have both the oxblood and the chalk/dark on their way to me and I'm paranoid about the condition they'll be in. Chalk should be here tomorrow and oxblood Monday. I will not keep them if they have similar marks, it is too major of a flaw to overlook IMO.
Did you spray any protectant on yours? I've got a Chalk in the small size and about to give it a coat of Apple Garde. I'm more concerned about the top edge of the inside suede getting dirty more than the outer since suede is harder to clean. Also, Coach store's cleaning service excludes suede and fabric cleaning.
For those that do use protectant, how often do you re-spray? And do you clean the bag before doing it? This is my first white bag.
I think those straps and handles can create bulges when folded inside and while mine came ok (Rogue 25 in Chalk and Saddle), I can see it happening if pressed against for any length of time especially without stuffing. I'm also wondering if the tighter fit of the smaller Rogues make them more prone to these marks compared to the standard size.
Screw it...that 36 python is killing me in both colors! Just when I'm as penniless for the month as can be...
I sprayed the outside of mine with apple garde, two coats. I'm kind of careful with the suede pockets, I don't put a lot of stuff in them --- my phone or something else I'll need to grab quickly --- and I try to be aware of the suede and keep it clean. I agree that area could show dirt soon if not treated with care. I've had mine for a while, though, and it still looks great.

I guess if the third Rogue comes in defective, I am just going to have to accept that it wasn't meant to be.
Just FYI. I had a chance to compare my (defective) Rogue and the Pre-Fall Rogue. It does feel a bit lighter. The dark copper hardware is beautiful. The grain on the pebbled leather is slightly smaller and more refined looking. Not sure if that indicates anything about the quality. The interior of the new black rogue is an orangey-yellow, not black anymore.
I guess if the third Rogue comes in defective, I am just going to have to accept that it wasn't meant to be.

It's so disappointing! I hope Coach fixes the problems with bags being damaged during shipping due to poor packaging, and that your third one is ok after all.Thanks for the information on the Pre-Fall bag! Did you see any of the other colors? I am infatuated with the Rivets bag, and am wondering if it is terribly heavy. I may just need to get a luggage cart for it though, as it is SO GORGEOUS. I'm even trying to figure out a way I could carry the Whiplash Rivets Rogue 36. :lolots:
Edit: the Rivets bags are 'Coming soon', but it would be interesting to know about the bags that are out now.

I had to see three Rogues before getting one without issues. One was an obvious return that should not have been accepted. For me the third time was the charm. Hope it works out for you too.
Did you get to see the one in dark denim? How would you describe the color? Was the zipper strap the same color? TIA!
Thanks, good to know. Just ordered some suede protectant and a suede cleaner from a brand called Saphir to try on the inside. Will try them on some older suedes first though and see how it goes.
The store I went to only had chalk, black, and saddle on display. But they had two of each color. I'm going to try to go by tonight to see my third Rogue and will ask if they have any dark denim or pictures of it. Will try to grab pics while I am there.
Me too. I spent so much on the previous PCE and F&F discounts. I need to wait before I can buy again. I hope what I want is still available when that time comes.
