I'm a tad over 5'2" and love the size of the Rockie. The Latte/Rose Gold is a beautiful combination. Did you pre-order from Nordstrom? Congrats on your purchase, please post pics when it arrives!!

I notice that the cupcake studs have a rosegold tint underneath the black, so I'll have to be extremely careful unless I want rosegold studs :) It took three weeks to arrive, but here it is..

How does the leather feel? Is it really soft and smooshy?

The photos on OTTE NY website don't show the rose gold undertones of the black hardware - do you know if its meant to be that way?

I'm considering ordering a smooth black leather Rockie but I have a couple of questions:

1. Has anyone experienced dye transfer onto their clothes? I wear quite a lot of light clothing (blouses, shirts, light-wash jeans, etc) and I don't really want black staining on them if I can help it. I shouldn't think that a bag of this quality should transfer, but I still wonder about it. If the dye does transfer to clothes, is there a way to prevent transfer (i.e. leather treatments, etc)?

2. What can you fit into your Rockie? I don't carry much around with me (I can fit my wallet, sunglasses, a lipstick, my iPhone and Oyster card into my RB Mini 5-Zip comfortably) but when I want to carry around my iPad, a A5 notebook, or a paperback, is the Rockie going to be able to fit it easily? From the pictures online it seems like it should, but I'd love to see what people can actually fit inside comfortably! :)

3. Do you travel with your Rockie? I take numerous transatlantic flights every year, and I prefer not to have to switch handbags. I know that the studs on the bottom might be a bit of a hassle with security, but has anyone had experiences traveling with their Rockie? I pack my carryon very lightly and prefer a smaller bag, but do the studs make it too heavy?

I've recently stumbled upon the AW rockie and I love the design! But I've read some reviews which said the bag is very difficult to open. Can anyone tell me if you have experienced the same issue?

It is quite difficult to unzip, especially when you are wearing it crossbody, and also depending on which side of the bag is pressed up against your hip. I tend to leave mine unzipped. I never worry about anyone stealing anything or even being able to look in the bag though, as the flap always remains folded over the opening.

Has anyone experienced any edging / piping issues with the Rockie? I've just read in other threads about the quality of the Roccos, including ripped edging and exposed piping? Your expertise would be helpful as I have a Rockie on its way, but unsure of the quality :(

Thanks for your reaction. I think I can deal with that ;) now all I have to do is decide which color I want to go for...decisions, decisions

I find it easier to open the rockie if its standing on something or if I just use one of the zippers to unzip it.

Hi. I am looking for the exact same bag on sale. The ladies here told me that since this color is a classic it will probably not go on sale but some sites will allow you to use a discount code. Azalea SF lets you use a 20% off code but they currently do not have the bag in stock. I tried to have them do a special order a little over a month ago but they said they already have the bag on order but since they are still in the production phase they don't know when they will arrive but to keep checking back and it should be no later than March 15th.

The leather is extremely soft, but the bag keeps its structure even when I'm not filling it completely up. Even my fiancé loves it - and he hates my handbag obsession :D

The rose gold undertones are probably not supposed to be there, but that is what happened to my bag I guess. I don't mind too much though, you can only see it if you go close. In the photos it's because of the lighting, as they are completely black everywhere.
