It would have been a nice touch. I hope she's not so unwell that she would pull out of the rest of those jubilee events.

ITA. For work that would be a proper attire but for the service she should have put a little more effort in IMO. A hairdresser appointment or some kind of hat would have been a great idea, too.
On a different note: Albeit I couldn't see the service just pictures, I can see that the Troublesome Two were seated quite away from the centre. I wonder if Meagain was boiling inside with anger or was happy that she could participate at all. She looked a little strained, but maybe it was because of the booing.

She had her usual rickus grin but never reached the eyes !!! They are so thick skinned they didn’t hear the boos only the few cheers who they waved at - the cheers for Kate were such a contrast loudest happiest cheers of the day

The Empire State Building will be lit up tomorrow night, June 4, in honor of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

I watched everyone arrive for the Thanksgiving Service, live on TV this morning. There is so much I could say about the Harkles but I refuse to make any of this about them.
Everyone else looked amazing and as cohesive as a family.
Here's some pics of our celebration afternoon tea at Kensington Palace. We've been here often and have brought many friends and family in the past. It's served in a temporary but rather posh tentage at the moment. Can't wait for them to complete refurbishment so the Pavilion is back to it's former glory. 41CF6950-FAF0-4C7F-AEBD-E52D5B46F44C.jpeg49146989-4118-4B04-81E4-B438D4B72757.jpeg75A67B4B-3768-498F-B871-966C3C3FC51A.jpegECA4FFDC-973C-4A47-9A26-F4CA820511E4.jpegE92CFD90-9204-4BCE-AF08-220BE8A445BC.jpegF2E2F2A3-3B80-48C0-8CF7-750F7044091E.jpeg76B6C6B5-CE3D-4C93-A4B1-4AAB55122491.jpeg73FDE70A-61AD-4D8D-8CCA-15DD2C02D7E7.jpeg

What a lovely way to celebrate - it all looks so elegant - and yummy!

From the RoyalHat website - these are professional hat-makers/milliners. Whoever said that hat looked like it came from from CVS = good call. No way that hat is a Dior

Duchess of Sussex wore a pale grey hat with curved brim and shallow crown. The hat is made of crin or poly braid which is also used for a slim hatband that ties in a side bow.

While reportedly a Dior design, the hat looks to be a mass-produced piece that just doesn’t have the quality and level of finishing and finesse present in a milliner-made hat (like all the others in this post) . It’s disappointing but leaves Meghan’s beautifully tailored coat the clear star of the ensemble.

Full disclosure that I haven't watched the full service yet but the outfits in this one really threw me for a loop.

I loved Zara's outfit -the pink and purple and lilac shoes and bag were inspired. Beatrice looked gorgeous, as did Lady Frederick Windsor. I liked Eugenie's orange, but not with the black accessories. I thought Anne looked terrific. Camila looked good too.

Sophie looked like she was attending a different event to everyone else....was her dress all over sequins or did that come across wrong in the photos? Meghan......her hat was divine but the coat was all wrong for her -she looked dumpy. This isn't about being tall and slender - Camilla isn't and she dresses well, as does Eugenie. I would have liked something with more movement to go with the light hat. And Kate.....obviously just me out on a limb here but I felt like she didnt bring her A-game today and this was too important to miss. For me, Emilia Wickstead misses on the tailoring and the sleeves were too long. The colour seemed like a weird mix of buff and yellow, not proper sunshine yellow? And the hat was divine when she turned her head and you got a look at the upturned brim but honestly.....today we needed soemthing that looked good on all sides......the coral garden party outfit would have been better today I think.

I think it's clearer than ever that relations are still pretty frosty. Harry and Meghan weren't seated anywhere near William and Kate, and there wasn't any chance of an interaction....which tells it's own story. Usually we'd have a picture of everyone on the steps but we didnt get that today because there was no lingering....again I think because the Palace didnt want to risk it being stirred up again. Also, Harry and Meghan didn't go to guildhall lunch today with the rest of the family.
