It's called the Union Jack when flown from the mast at sea (as in the ol' slang jacked-up, to put on a big show, now we say pimped-up). It's called the Union Flag on dry land.

Seems the Queen is sacrificing her visit to the Derby to meet Lilibet on her birthday what a shame the parade of ex jockeys who rode for the Queen etc will be spoiled
