I love the Art Deco ring. I truly dislike brownish stones though.
I would still get it but replace the diamond later on. The design is so pretty.
OTOH, the ruby ring is pretty. What a dilemma!
No wrong decision here for sure.
I agree. I own several fancy/vivid yellow diamond pieces and your diamond looks more like a low color diamond. I love the setting but don't want you to get ripped off with the stone. Of course I may be wrong...hard to calibrate color on a computer and yellow diamonds do come in a vast variety of shades. A Pigeon Blood Ruby is the most sought after color variety of a ruby gemstone. Hard decision...keep up posted.

I am absolutely loving all your opinions!!!
Thank you all so much.
I will definitely keep you posted and I may go back today to see both in different light.
Oh...and the GIA certification on the diamond says it is fancy yellowish-brown. To my eye I see a tiny bit of pink/peach in the brown but my jeweler says no it’s solidly brown that it’s picking up that tone from the metal. I always thought I disliked brown stones but this one is so charmingly chunky and perky that she may change my mind!!!!

I gotta say the sparkle on this 2.50 chunky Mine Cut Diamond is crazy. She throws off yellow, peach and coral whenever she feels like it.
Effortlessly.
We looked super closely at her under a loupe at his bench and I know exactly where the inclusion is and I gotta say I’m fine with it (and I’m a person that inclusions really bother me, I’m very clarity sensitive). So she and I are going to get better aquainted this weekend and I’ll let you all know how the bonding proceeds and if that ruby still haunts me or not!!

To me the Art Deco ring doesn’t really look like true AD but nonetheless it is too big for your finger and it would look much better with a much larger center stone. Def the ruby!

I think you’ve made a good choice, so interesting to look at! The ring absolutely does not look too big on your finger (such a subjective opinion). Unless it’s too loose and might slip off of your finger, if that’s the case and if it’s heavy then should be resized.
