Top: rg JUC, purchased late 2021, worn occasionally and always taken off at night and before showering

Bottom: yg Love, purchased early 2019, worn like above

I think the rose gold on your pieces will stay truer if you take them off daily and avoid exposure to water (pool water can cause any gold to turn slightly green if you swim frequently). So if it’s a concern, I’d avoid pieces that are difficult to remove. That said, I’m not disappointed with the way my rg Love has changed with time.

No photos handy, but my main jewelry pieces with rose gold are Cartier - a trinity ring and a JUC. The JUC looks unchanged to my eye, but I do see the phenomenon that you mentioned with my trinity ring (where the rose gold ring and the yellow gold ring are neighbours). It's basically just oxidation. Comes off with a polishing cloth, looks as rosy as ever afterwards. I was shocked that it was this simple.

Rose gold changing color is all to do with oxidation, so in addition to Cartier's alloy, your environment and skin chemistry will make a big difference. My RG JuC is worn almost every day including at a beach house, and so far in a couple years it has not changed at all. I have rose gold from other places that hasn't changed in 10 years.
What I hear most about Cartier is that only the surface oxidizes, so a soft polish will do the trick and return an oxidized piece to rosy color.

Odd question, but would anyone know how to make the Cartier rose gold turn yellow gold even faster on purpose? I got a chain style bracelet as a gift in RG, but I’m definitely more of a YG person, and tbh I’d feel rude asking them to exchange it!

I feel like the rose gold looks very subtle but is more obvious when next Cartier yellow gold. But mine has definitely faded - my new rose gold earrings are definitely pinker than my JUC…but the JUC next to the yellow ring of my trinity is still noticeably rose.

I would guess pink gold, mostly because I can see a slightly pink hue to the bracelet in the second photo. It is really difficult to tell with the Love and I struggle to tell until they are next to each other usually.

It's usually easier to see the colour of the bracelet on the flat edge of the bracelet at the top or in the grooves of the screw motif.

Hope the photo can capture the difference.

Did you ever try to compare it to a Cartier yellow gold piece to see if it turns completely yellow or if it still retains a more rose color when compared to their Yellow 18K gold? Call me crazy buy I feel my yellow gold love bracelet is getting lighter and more "yellow" than before? I bought it a year and a half ago. I compared it to my 20-21K Jewelry (has a more golden hue) when I bought it and it looked very similar, now it looks slightly yellower and lighter?
