Did anyone have issues with carnelian stone staining? My Carnelian has a weird mark that I discovered in a certain lighting. Not sure if it’s the nature of the stone or I could have done something wrong. However, I dont put lotion on with it on, and always take off my ring yo wash my hands, and use a jewelry cloth to clean my pieces..

Looking for input, 2 questions pls: was just thinking if this particular bracelet:-
1) is more for younger people than a "matured" 👵one like me turning 50 this year😅
2) does this rg suits Asian brown skin tone? I'm thinking might look coppery on me. Thanks in advance 🧡

I don't think there's a right answer to your questions...

1 - It comes down to personal taste rather than catering to a specific age group. I certainly think this creation caters to rg lovers though since VCA has very limited selections in the Alhambra collection that are made in rg, and carnelian complements the metal color beautifully (or vice versa).

2 - It's best that you try it on in person since you have to pick out the right shade of carnelian that looks most flattering on your skin tone (& undertone) anyway. I will say that VCA's rg tend to be more pink than other brands so it's definitely not for everybody. Again, it comes down to your personal preference

Thank you appreciate the reply. Sadly there was no physical stock for me to try on as per SA advise. I think I'm just gonna go with my gut n pick Onyx bcos I prefer YG eventhough it's mainstream.

I'm not a huge VCA person but really loved this combination. I've been eyeing it online and the 5 motif bracelet's been out of stock for months now. Finally made it to the store and paid in full so they can order one for me. I'm super nervous about not liking the carnelian color but the sales associate just acted like he was super bored of me and said he always advised his clients whichever piece comes through for them that's the one meant for them. Which really made me speechless as I don't know how to reply to that. I'm shy and I'm not sure what to do when I go pick it up and it's not something I like. Any advice on how to turn it down? What about how to check the color of the carnelian? Thanks!

The one that's meant for you is the one that put a smile on your face. Don't feel bad for turning down the piece you've paid deposit for if you're not happy with the color. Carnelian is hard to shop for because it's semi-translucent so the color can look different based on your skin tone. I would suggest to go with the one/color that looks best on your wrist, not just color on the tray.

Carnelian has shades of red, brown and orange in it, it depends on which shade you prefer. Also some are darker and some are more translucent, it all depends on one’ preference.

VCA is not cheap for the price we paid you certainly shouldn’t settle for something you don’t like, they hv gotten your deposit and have to fulfill your order in order to record the sales as revenue in their accounts, if the shade is not what you like just tell the SA straight away, then you will need to wait for the next one arrive if they hv no other stocks available. For me personally, I would rather not get it at all if it is not the shade I like, I have waited a good 2 years for it to be re-released but the first batch they shown to me 2 years ago are on brown orange tone which is entirely not what I want.

That's what I didn't want to say in person because I felt like I was on the spot. It's luxury goods and I know I'm not a VIP there but to just tell me to accept whichever piece comes left a bad taste in my mouth. I asked if I don't like it, can I order another one. He said I can pay for 2 pieces and compare them but I have to pay in full for 2 bracelets. (That's not even what I asked but I just let it go.)

After I bought my carnelian pieces ( they were left in the boutique for resizing) I suddenly panicked that maybe the color wasn't such a good one. Dh called the Sa for me because he is much more ok with being straightforward then me and she said to come in the next day and try it on near the windows so I could see it in various lighting.
I did and was relieved that it was beautiful.
Long story to say, do you have anyone who is more direct that you can take along to the shop and they can let the sales person know the color isn't your preference ( in case it's needed)?

Seem the SA is not very nice…..unfortunately you have paid otherwise I would advise you to find another one. Maybe he/she see that you are the type of person who can get coerce into a settlement and try to take advantage of it. No one in their sane mind would pay for 2 just for comparison! I‘m not sure VCA will refund you in cash but not store credit, if later you are tied up with the store and hv to find sth to use the credit lol
