Resources for re-selling your bags? Help?

Tradesy and eBay for the reasons mentioned. I hate Poshmark. The buyers are kooky and will comment you to death and offer trades but not buy.

If you go the consignment route I find Ann's Fabulous Finds has the best commission rate and service. Their market is smaller so it will take a little longer to sell but it's worth it.

Hi everyone,
I want to sell my Prada (I'm in Sydney) since I don't really use it. I've had it for 2 yrs now, I think. But I feel that this bag is heavy for me since I normally put a lot of stuff in my bag whenever I leave the house.
Should I sell it on ebay or gumtree or are there any other sites I could use?
Also, when I sell it, am I supposed to list it half price since it's already 2 yrs old... but still looks almost new.
Thanks in advance!

It's entirely up to you where you onsell your bag, and what price you put on it. If you really want to sell it quickly you'll have to price it for the market. I notice so many of these bags on ebay that are priced way above ebay buyers expectations. They stay listed for months then get withdrawn from sale. Ebay and gumtree have huge marketplaces, but most potential buyers are really looking for a bargain where luxury goods are concerned. You will also lose a percentage of your selling price to their fees, as well as paypal fees for the transaction. You could try a consignment store in your area but be prepared to lose a hefty part of the selling price in fees (up to at least one third or even half). You could also advertise it in your local trade paper (Trading Post or the like). That way, there's no fees other than the cost of the ad, and a bit of time. Either way, make sure that you can prove authenticity 100%, as the repercussions for selling fakes in Australia can be quite nasty.

Im interested to find out if it sold and if you were happy with the selling price?

Hi all!

I have had my Graphite Bayswater for about 4 years now but have hardly worn it for the last 2 years since getting my LV Neverfull. It's had the lock plate changed and I have always protected it well so it's in excellent condition. Also have the receipt, dust bag, samorga etc.

I am thinking it would be better for me to sell it (despite loving it) and instead getting a lily that would be worn for evenings/weddings etc. I find my bays is too big for those events and too heavy for every day.

In your experience, where have you safely sold your Mulberry's for a good price. I need all the money I can get for it. Also if you have ideas of a fair price, that would be great!

I've been trying to list my Cahier bags on Tradesy but unfortunately, Tradesy just won't stop suspending my accounts simply because I listed a bag when I was back to my hometown in Malaysia. I tried explaining to them but the CS representative just told me that they were unable to reactivate my account.

Sold some bags to FP but it does not offer direct buyout to some of my bags. Yoogi's closet's offers are way too low for my bags, almost $400-500 lower than the price offered by FP.

I tried selling on eBay but... due to the restrictions there, I am not allowed to sell anything > $500. If I want to do so, I will have to get at least 20/25 positive reviews from buyers. This is not possible at all as I am not selling anything other than handbags.

Took a look at Poshmark. I lost my interest in the platform after reading all the comments made by the buyers there.

Anybody know where I can sell my Cahiers? Thank you in advance.

I sell mine on EBay, Poshmark and Mercari ( they only take 10%). EBay would probably be the best to sell on because if there is a problem, you can call EBay. There is no phone service for Mercari and you don't always get a response when messaging them. I do think that Poshmark is pretty fair and they do handle problems fairly however, it's all done through messaging.
