Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

The 24k hardware is beautiful depending on the bag and its condition, but since its been readyed and polished, its loses that aged quality.
I do get it on the beauty.
but I won't pay a premium (and a BIG one in this case as per subject bag we are chatting about) just to have that on my C flap.

And yes, redyed to me is a taboo.

I just know she reads this thread. After us talking about her monitizing Wade, the dog related ads suddenly disappeared.

She always talks about how money savvy she is, asks if she should sell bags to the highest bidder and cutting out third party cost by selling directly on instagram.

I think this is just sacrificing the Deauville in hopes of getting her credibility back.

She's a member on here so its a high possibility, I do find her to be different in terms of telling her followers to be more realistic with their spending but after that farfetch haul video, it turned so many people off.
 
This was what happened to me a few posts ago. ER( 2nd hand seller) posted a beige m/l flap with no card 15 series for $6300. I DMed her and she said it just sold.
Few days later YF(reseller) listed the exact same bag for $7500. My heart sank. I used to buy from YF twice before but now I unfollowed and not going to buy from them anymore.

Then today I saw a local selling platform (something like tradesy) someone listed a red chevron mini for $4900 and when it sold, a seller TC posted the exact same bag for $6300!!! I used to buy from TC twice before too and she used to have really good deals as she gets from Japan directly... but after seeing her recent prices and that she buys to resell I unfollowed her as well.

All above are sellers selling locally.

As for international sellers I have purchased from TimelessLikeAud & Luxurytholic before and paid 1-2k above retail/market. Even though their response and service was good I am forever plagued by THAT feeling when I look at my unicorns. Like "Have I paid too much?" but "No one forced you to pay!" and "I got what I wanted and everything is good so why care?" yeah but "I could have bought 2 instead of one! or get another VCA!" and yeah I know it's very 1st world problem so ok I'll shut up and see myself out... sigh....

So disappointed with how things have turned put about chanel. Nothinng in the latest collection that I fancy either.
I think I'm taking a chanel break. :/
Ugh I did the same thing. I've been saving up and never got the Chanel cf caviar I was waitlisted on before the price increase.
I decided to purchase a vintage caviar (full set) in excellent condition that was in current retail price (excluding tax). I'm still not sure if I made the right decision. Part of me wanted the vintage one because so many vintage lovers had mentioned the older qualities are much better. I've compared it with my other more recent chanel caviar and agree vintage quality feels better. And yes, no one made me do it. Still sucks to know I paid retail for a vintage.
 
I bought a vintage off IG and DHL lost it. Reseller said they are not liable and parcel insurance is only “by buyer request”. I am new to Chanel and new to buying from Ig. None of it was mentioned on her page nor on our initial interaction when I bought the bag or when she shipped it. I am sitting here thousands of dollars poorer and without a bag. Is this fair?Are there other actions I could take?
I am so sorry this happened to you. My heart sank when I read dhl lost your package. I don't have any advice as I'm not familiar with transferwise. I hope everything will work out and get resolve quickly. I can only imagine how stressful this must be for you. Sending you lots of hugs and positive energy :heart:

Can you file a case with your credit company? If you have the proof and paperwork from DHL that they lost the package, maybe your bank can help you. This is also unacceptable behavior from the instagram seller. They should be held responsible as well. I see a lot of instagram sellers contacting their buyers to make sure they received their packages. It is a shady behavior and makes me wonder if they really did send the bag. Could you post who the seller was so that others are warned? There is a Instagram seller thread. You may get more answers and suggestions from that thread. I would suggest posting there as well. I am so sorry for all the stress!
