Just a point about resellers- it’s very lucrative for money laundering. Chanel and many of the other luxe brands now have a policy on how much cash can be spent within a set time limit in the UK because many hot items are being purchased with cash and then resold elsewhere. So be careful who you are purchasing ‘premium’ priced items from- you could be supporting laundering funds from organised crime!

Yes! I like how she nonchalantly just says that she made $40K a month on her instagram account during Bling Empire (probably more now that she signed on as a model). I just like how she's so no ********, likes the unique things, and just shows me a piece of the world that i probably won't ever get to see. You can definitely see the difference between someone who truly owns things for their lifestyle vs. one that relies on them to define their lifestyle.

As promised, YouTuber posted a video on with the excuses of why they sold their bags (some above retail) after they convinced people to buy them in the first place - while they promoted their sponsor ie LilySilk

Video was cringey...and the comments section is surprisingly scrubbed of any questioning or criticism. One person did ask whether she was planning on selling her "Hermes Journey" items she's buying to play the game and be offered an H bag - she denied it - yeah, mmhmm.

I used to think the kind of lavish, luxury shopping of the truly wealthy were so unrelateable for me that I preferred the more middle-class enthusiast YouTubers/Influencers.

However, the more some of them show themselves to be hypocritical, wishy-washy, inauthentic, non-transparent...I also can't relate to them...the diehard chase and 180 turnarounds, maybe betraying even themselves. There's also a kind of wretched experience associated with it. I'm watching someone hustle, and the peddling of the cheap crap is beggarly (I apologize that there is a classist component to my complaint but I'm talking about the experience.) So many of them do the peddling junk, even one of the "mIniMaLisT" former luxury channels.

I agree! A lot of these youtubers say that they love their pre spend purchases but I almost think it is forced. If it wasn't for quota bag prespend, they would have never bought most of the stuff in the first place. Like most people, just talking themselves into it. Maybe if you say you love it, it becomes true over time haha

I’m desperate for it after missing out in 21p, however my sa’s can’t guarantee it as we can’t reserve/pre order in the uk so I will have to wait and see. Tbh I am still not willing to over pay and not get the bag from the boutique - will I regret this?

Now that it is coming back again, your chances are higher in obtaining it than when it was released in 21P. Remember the craze with 21p caramel 19? When this color was released again in 21K, everyone got excited but many people (who got it likely due to the hype), sold them. Now you see these 19s sold everywhere on Instagram and FP. In fact, recently saw a video of a youtuber who said one of the reason she sold hers was because the color was released again and it seemed to have lost its exclusivity

However, it is a mini which is the most popular size so we shall see. I would still not lose hope. I wish you all the best!

I am on the same boat but with the mini my perfect bag in black leather. I asked my SA to find me one but she told me the bag was from previous season and completely soldout. I am disappointed and thought about buying it from preloved websites and I was discouraged to know that they are selling the bag $2000+ more than the original price!
I thought about giving up and just a moment ago I found an SA from different thread posted the mini perfect bag which I am looking for but I don’t know where the boutique is so I contacted her/him. Hopefully will hear from her/him soon.

Thank you - fingers crossed! And I agree with you - the 19 from both 21p and 21k have been appearing all over. But yes the mini is super popular - but hoping everyone is over the caramel shade or at least let people who will genuinely keep the bags get their hands on it rather than buy to flip. With the prices going up on the minis potentially, I am even more so put off going the reseller route
