Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

I noticed this too! I saw a few minis and seasonal bags being sold at premium like the 21K caviar bags are being sold at premium. Also recently saw a Youtuber sell some of her newest purchased micro bags at premium. Her reasoning because they are brand new :hrmm:

Has anyone noticed there are SO many 21K caramel bags being re-sold now? People couldn't believe it when Chanel brought it back for 21K. But may have been an impulse purchase for many as there was so much frenzy when the color was released in 21P. I also saw some influencers and youtubers posting considering selling it as it doesnt seem to fit their wardrobe. How do you not know that before buying such an expensive bag?!
I didn’t know about the 21K caramel! Interesting - I wonder if people are worried the bags will lose resale value since the color keeps coming back so they are rushing to sell? These YouTubers definitely have an edge over normal people when reselling since they can probably fetch a higher price than any of us would be able to given their name recognition in the luxury community
I have noticed the many 21K 19 bags on Fashionphile and other resellers the past few weeks!

Is the dark chocolate brown from several collections ago? I recall seeing this at a Canadian location days after the launch date and it was just sitting on the shelves.

The dark chocolate brown mini rectangular bags came out late Spring x early Summer of this year. I haven’t seen one at all in person at various boutiques — only on reseller sites, especially on Fashionphile.

Also noticed the dark brown minis when assessing whether the BFS was worth it, must’ve been at least a half dozen of them! Was tempted to get one thinking it was black until I realized it wasn’t and that there were so many of them…

Oh yes for sure - I saw the brown mini’s when I went to pick up my purse on the third week of June. I remember this because there were two on the shelf and when I asked, my SA said they were from a late shipment which didn’t arrive on launch date.

I have noticed that the stores are not receiving stock all at once - or maybe because non-neutral colours are not as popular where I live - but there are 21k collection SLG’s (iridescent colours, lilac glasses case) on display when I went to the store today.

Fashionphile is a whole different story. At one point I was interested in a mini reissue and when I checked the site, all they had was the rainbow coloured ones. Few weeks later I looked again and all they had were the bronze coloured ones. Really annoyed how they would buy a bunch of what they deemed as “unicorns”, and sell them for premiums where regular customers like us cannot go into the store and buy them.

I think I know which Youtuber you are referring to. I facepalmed because it was IMPOSSIBLE to lay hands on those SLGs that she purchased and now she’s selling them after a few months of uses. Really turned me off when I saw it and now I’m less likely to watch her videos because it seem like she was buying the SLGs for the sake of buying them and unboxing rather than really enjoying the.

Exactly, these youtubers spend all her videos convincing people to buy buy buy and then they turn around and sell them. What's the point. They don't even use their bags.

I agree with you, I think I know which one you’re talking about. I was turned off also when I saw that since she spent most of her YouTube time convincing people to spend their hard earned money on a micro bag and then just turns around and sell them. Why get so much if you can’t use them all? It’s such a bad influence and bad for my mental health so I decided to stop watching altogether since I do get influenced somewhat and it’s so annoying.

Rebag currently has a 20% off sale. I didn't find anything  I think their bags are grossly overpriced so even with the discount I didn't find the prices tempting.
Did anyone score a good deal ?
I took a look, ridiculous pricing even at Fashionphile! I am sure they have marked up some of their bags. I have been eyeing this coco handle and it is now 7K when I saw it around 6K. Maybe it is a different one but these companies may mark up the prices and fool us by having these so called 'sales' which are pretty much useless.

Like fashionablyamy is another example - she bought plenty of these micro bags and last week did a vlog sale and sold them ! Why buy and then sell ..?? Feel really stupid to follow these youtubers

These youtubers have an advantage for resale and they sell above retail too just because it is "new" or that fashionphile is selling for way higher. Fashionphile is an anonamly and can't be used for comparison. People really trust them even if they bought second hand or through a reseller. Someone was telling me about her questionable grey fendi mini peekabo purchased from an ig reseller.

Yeah I thought she truly loved the micro bags and went to buy two colours of the same with top handle, I bet it’s to sell for high prices later on. I unsubscribed to her channel, so fake.

I did too. I can understand changing your mind about a style that you try. But to go in that heavy and then turn around and sell nearly all of them off seems a little bit too much for me to stomach.
