replacing Vachetta?

Hi
I bought a vintage saumur. The only problem is the vachetta trim around the flap is dry and cracked. Does anyone know how much LV charges to replace the thin trim edge on a purse? is it worth it because new the bag is $900. I asked once for speedy handles and they said it was $150 or so.. can't remember for each or both... any experience you've had would be great.

You need to physically take the bag for inspection to an LV shop where they will give you an estimate for the repair work you want done. Sometimes its more costly than the price of a new bag, but some people are sentimental and prefer to repair something of value than to get a new bag. Good luck!
