Repair message

Hi u just got a message from the repair centre acknowledging the item I sent in July 20

Does this mean they are working on it now? Of so how long should I expect it to take to get back to a store in canada?

I got an email on 7/7/14 acknowledging the item I took in on June 18, when I called last week to check on the progress I was told another 2 weeks or so which is still the 8 week turnaround they gave me initially. I'm not sure why they bother sending the message really as it just makes me more impatient lol!
