Regional Word Differences

When I first moved to Montgomery, Alabama, I pronounced it "Montgomery" as in "Monticello." I was quickly told it is pronounced "muntgomery." lol

Yes, we say y'all a lot. And the plural possessive is y'all's.
 
Wow! haha! This is all too funny!
Here in Central PA, we call "subs" "hoagies".
I've HEARD of people in southern pa saying, like, instead of "The milk is gone." they say "The milk is all."

I used to work in a shoe store and the one girl there always called sneakers "tennis shoes". That annoyed me to no end! haha. There are different TYPES of sneakers (or sneaks) and tennis shoes are one of them! lol

I notice people pronounce things funny here. Including myself! haha. Like, "tape" is "teep". The Pittsburgh Steelers are "The Stillers"

Instead of "you guys" people here say "youns" or "youns guys".
Pronounced "yinz". I used to say it when i was younger, but quickly got out of the habbit. haha.
