Amazing!!! You truly are "The Bag Whisperer". Great Job!!

Loving your rehabs. Great job making these bags stunning again!!

Stunning as usual!! I would love to see all you rehabbed bags in one big family shot!!

Wow gorgeous, they came out amazing!!!

Amazing!! I can't believe all the red that came out and STILL the bag ended up looking so fabulous!! What a great job as always....you are the queen of rehab!! Congrats on a job well done!! :D

Once again awesome job. Congrats on all your hard work.

Thank you! But I am too much of a coward to pull them all out for a group photo!

Kate, that second bag, the red one, you posted cleaned up AMAZINGLY AWESOME! I want that bag, LOL! You are the rehab guru!

I know, I was nervous! It is pretty rare to find a large red vintage bag in good shape and at a decent price. I am glad that she survived her ordeal and kept her beautiful color. thanks!

Great finds! You did an amazing job as always on the bags! The vase looks great all polished up too!

Thanks! I was really pleased to find that pretty vase so cheap. I have admired Nambe in the past but never bought any. I'm glad that it cleaned up so well; it is a really HEAVY vase!

love love LOVE everything!!! The Katarina in the Parprika color is amazing too! So I know you've recommended Wenol polish for your hardware but are there any special tools or process you use when polishing your hardware?? I notice yours has come out so well!! I feel like mine don't come at as well as yours!!

Congratulations on all your goodies again!

Thanks! To polish the hardware on these bags I just used: wenol, a soft rag, and q-tips, and a lot of manual labor!

I tried soaking the turnlock hardware in a vinegar/water solution to remove the verdigris but that didn't help.

I sometimes use wenol along with felt polishing tips and my Dremel power tool to work on the hardware, but I didn't do that were these items. The vase has a few scratches so I may try the Dremel on them but I am not sure.

Removing the turnlock hardware really made it easier to give the hardware a thorough polish. It also made it easier to clean and condition the leather.

As usual, you've done a fabulous job on these beauties!!!

Has anyone told you or do you know what causes that white powdery appearance on the first purse you showed?
I noticed that some of my Legacy bags and older vintage bags have that look when I take them out of their dustbags/storage cases.....I am always so worried of losing color by washing them, so when I see it I just use the Apple Cleaner, then re-condition w/ Apple conditioner, but it doesn't seem like doing this really gets out the 'powder' look, just covers it up a little...
Just wondering, other than giving them a bath, if there's anything I can to do to get rid of it?

Thank you. I don't know what caused that powder residue. It could have been dust but it didn't feel grimy. I know that over-conditioning can leave a residue but I didn't think it would be a powdery residue? I am just glad that it disappeared so easily!

amazing! i really love the look of the eggplant.

when you soak the brass in vinegar water, how long do you soak before you start scrubbing/picking?

Thanks, the eggplant color was a surprise!

I soaked the hardware for at least an hour but the verdigris didn't budge. I have found that physicially removing the crud is the thing that works best with verdigris.

Great!! Thanks for the wonderful tip!! I should try to find some Wenol. So far I've only used Brasso.
