Haven't posted on the forum in a while but thank you for posting this! I got the kit for 39.99 and two polishes with an additional $10 off coupon off the total so my total was only $49.99 and to think I was gonna go buy the kit at Ulta tomorrow for $79.99 with only one free polish! I also purchased "An Evening To Remember" and "Draped in Rubies" for $4.99 each today while in the store. All in all a great day;)

Wow what an awesome deal you got! I'm sad I didn't wait longer to get my kit but I at least scored it for 40% at drugstore when I bought it a month ago :)

Thanks;). 40% is still good compared to $80. I can't wait for it to get here excited about not spending $30 plus tip every two weeks even though I love my nail tech! Lol. Well lets hope it'll be cheaper I already have a BIG wish list of different polishes I want;)

That's a great deal! Thanks for posting it. I'm wondering if I should get it just to go to the LED for faster curing. I currently have the mini UV one that came with the starter kit and I hate it. It's so small and I really don't think it works well. Would those of you that have tried both recommend going for the pro lamp? Or save my money and just get a better UV? Thinking of getting a cord for my mini as some of you have suggested.

A big thank you to all who are posting about sales as we approach Black Friday. I just previewed Ulta's Black Friday sale for Red Carpet and their Red Carpet Starter Kit is on sale for $59.99. Your deal sounds better. Target online also carries Red Carpet. I'm wondering if they are offering any deals.

I have had my RCM Pro 45 lamp for around two months. The first two times I used it, the TIO cured completely and was nice and slick after I removed the inhibition layer.

The last two times, even after removing the inhibition layer, my nails have been sticky and I did not have the nice slick top coat.

Has anyone had their lamp have problems and not cure completely?

TIA!

I had the dupe lamp from gelish and had a similar experience. I had already had the problem with the first gelish lamp that came out, which was portable. I will use the two for traveling or camping, but not for regular use as I also noticed that they worked fine at first, but seemed to not work so well after awhile. I started paying really close attention to how I hold my nails under them, and tilted them first to one side, then straight on, then to the other side. It helped some. But I never could get as good a cure or as long-lasting a mani as I do with the cnd uv lamp.

I use the sensationail lamp and I have had it for at least 6 months and I'm wondering if it works better because its a box shape with a bottom and interior is all reflective material. I know led waves just go straight down so I don't really know if they can bounce off the reflective material and assist with better curing or not but maybe one of you ladies has more knowledge with this and would know. I'm just being curious if thats why the RCM/Gelish PRO lights aren't working as well because they are open.

Update: I tried curing my TIO today using my 9 watt UV lamp and it cured perfectly. Since my RCM Pro 45 LED lamp was under 30 days old the vendor is replacing it. I sure hope the new one works better.

Thanks.

Anoter question. If I add loose glitter so I just use a brush and pat it into the last layer before the brilliance? Does it last the same amount of time as it would last without glitter or does that cut the life of it down? I fancy trying with some stargazer glitters I have maybe on the tips or the whole nail but I'm unsure of how to do it.

The short answer is no but you should head over the the Pigments & Glitter for SOG Polishes thread for all the information on this topic that you will ever need.
