Has anyone ever removed your RCM to find that your nail has darkened? Why is that happening? I love using this product and always have great results but some of my nails are darkening. Help please!

Darkening how? Yellowing or something else? Are you using the base coat first? Are you curing it? What lamp are you using to cure? What colors do you usually wear? How long are you curing each layer? (darker colors need longer cure times)

If you are completely curing each layer, there shouldn't be any staining. Last summer was the first summer that my toenails weren't yellow by the end of summer, because I used soak-off gels rather than regular nail polish. Staining usually looks yellow, rather than "dark."

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you aren't completely curing your color layers and that resulted in staining. Also, what remover are you using? Maybe you aren't completely removing the gel.

I feel like I do the steps perfectly. I even gently let them soak in acetone cotton balls wrapped in foil. The polish the just slides off. I use reds and dark pinks. I don't feel like my nails are stained at all, I feel like they are turning light brown toward the tips. This is only on 2 nails on my right hand ( pinky and ring finger). I haven't experienced any trauma or bruises but it looks as though they are bruised. It seems like it is for sure the nail and not the skin under it.

Reds, in regular polish, are notorious for staining. But, if you feel certain it isn't staining, and you are not wearing hard gel tips under your SOGs, I'd go to a doctor and have it checked out. A number of diseases show up in nail abnormalities. I had nail issues with Graves Disease.

Thanks for your help. I will have it checked out. I love RCM and want to keep it up. Have you been going it for a while? Are your nails pretty healthy underneath?

I've been using SOGs for a year now and my nails are longer than they have ever been without artificial tips! They truly have been amazing for me. Now, I have had Graves Disease and also just had my thyroid destroyed (via radiation) a year ago, and my nails have finally just healed from too much thyroid hormone too. But, for the first time, I really love my natural nails and am so happy to not have to go to a nail tech for artificial nails in order to have long nails.

Thank you for that coupon!! My GHD flatiron is dying :( :( :( I may just go to Ulta today and get a backup...

Are those really good? I've tried chi and fhi, but neither of those compare to my babyliss pro ceramic.

That died on me after 5 loyal years of service. I'm using my fhi backup, but am not happy with the results. I was thinking of getting the babyliss pro nano.

Hi all! I'm Jessie and I'm a longtime lurker coming out to say hello! I've been doing the SOG thing since June (ish) of last year. I have mostly Gelish, with a few RCM colors thrown in the mix, and I want mooooore!

So yeah, I wanted to share a recent RCM mani from last week that I just loved. This is RCM Lighter Shade of Gray with OPI Rainbow Connection (regular polish) on top. This pic was taken before I cleaned up the glittersplosion on my cuticles and sidewalls, heh. I love glitter :D

Love it! I'm really getting into layering indie glitter polish on top of my SOG manicures lately.

Welcome and your mani looks great!!

I have had gel manis done in the salon, but just today bought the Pro starter kit at Ulta. I also bought the Simply Stunning Polish. So far I really like it - first application went pretty easily.
