So, I had to take off my 1st attempt at a manicure.....as I've posted, it was a HOT MESS!!! This is my 2nd mani. which turned out well, NOW if only it DOESN'T CHIP:cool:View attachment 1634114
I used RCM Structure & Brillance, and Gelish Tiger blossom (which I LUV:smile1:)

I don't know if I'm too extreme, but I was NOT able to get thin coats using the 'dry brush' method. I'm referring to when you wipe the brush off on both sides then polish nails. I DID wipe both sides of brush, but was only able to polish one nail. I think I'm wiping off MOST of the product....
That went much better. Color looks very nice on your skintone.

Alright ladies here are some swatches, it is not the best lighting but I will try and take some pics tomorrow when it is light out, most look true to color though

No problem I hope you can find them keep in mind though I went to my Ulta on sunday and they didnt have them up but I went in today and they were I also live only 30mins from there headquaters and there main warehouse/distrubution center. So it make take few says or a week longer to reach any place else other than the midwest. .

They had more than 8 new colors in the DC area, so I can confirm the new colors are not just in the midwest. :smile1:

Simply Love Your Nails looks really close to Gelish You're So Sweet. Do they look very similar IRL?

No I wasnt saying that they are just in the midwest just saying that depending where you are at it may take your store a few extra days to recieve them since they ship out of IL . It just depends on what trucking outfit they use and when the sales assoc. decide to put them out on the floor. we just had 8 new and 4LE and the normal colors

RCM Simply love your nails has more of a shimer to it and Gelish your so sweet is more of a creme with no shimmer here are 2 pics up close of them hopefully you can see the difference

on the far left is rcm simply love your nails you can probably see some shimmer/frost in it, it reminds be a bit of gelish light elegant but with out the silver sparkle/shimmer

Thanks for the pictures. I wait can't until I can find the new collection here. If you get a moment, will you post a picture of the new brush? I'm not a fan of the current brush, and have had to start using a separate pro gel brush to get even coverage on my nails. It will be great to skip that extra step...

So, I did my nails this morning....I used the method of wiping both sides of brush then dabbing each nail, then going back and spreading polish. I polished my dominant hand 1st & it turned out ok, but then I noticed I was running out of time (had dr's appt) and did my 2nd hand. Even though I was using my dominant hand it turned out BAD:nuts:
View attachment 1633592When I did the last step the polish wiped almost completely of that one finger!! The 1st hand done, color is darker/denser (only did 1 coat on each/both hands).
So, I'll be removing it and re-doing the whole thing this afternoon:wacko:

If it's wiping off completely like that, then it's not curing for some reason.

I apply thin, but not so thin it's hard to get a fairly even coat. I could probably go thinner, but since I don't have any problems with chipping or lifting anymore usually, I just do what seems to work for me. Now, basecoat I do go thin thin thin. The basecoat brush I wipe very well, then sort of use a scrubbing motion to cover the nail, rather than having enough polish to actually just brush it on.

For color coats and topcoat, I wipe the brush off really well, then sort of swipe up the inside of the neck of the bottle to get just a little bead of polish on the end of my brush, just enough for that nail. I've just learned over time how much I need. If I have a little too much, I wipe the brush off and brush over it again, as it'll absorb some of the excess polish from the nail. I can always add more too, since it won't dry up while I'm working. I do my little swipe again to get a bead of polish for each nail. Not sure if that makes sense or not, hope it does.

At my ulta the displays forr the LE and new colors were directly under the shelves for the existing RCM colors

Every Ulta seems to put them in a different place. At my Ulta the 4 LE colors were on the top shelf of a display that was in the center between two aisles. The other ulta they were on an endcap, at the opposite end of the aisle from the rest of the RCM colors. neither store here has the other new colors yet. And I was told, quite rudely, by a girl at the one Ulta that they absolutely WILL NOT get them before the 18th when they are supposed to come. Whatever. Most of the time when everyoen else has stuff their excuse is "we didn't get our truck." They miss a lot of trucks apparently! (Really, i think they are too lazy to take stuff out and stock it!)

Thanks--yes, I can tell on the close-ups that Simply Love Your Nails has shimmer that YSS doesn't. The tone of the pink looks identical to me otherwise. Interesting!

Sure I will make sure to post one tomorrow as its past my bed time for me it stinks geting up at 5am everyday lol. I think i almost like this brush getting the the gelish mini new brush its less bulky n you can get less gel on the brush for thinner coats. I will try and take a shot of the new RCM brush and also one of the new Gelish mini so you can see a side by side comparison

I would say yes almost thesame but the RCM seems like it may be a tad darker or more of a blue tone its hard to tell from just looking at the picture it may show up better when I try to take photos in the day time

Haha you are completely right see ours has the regullar rcm display on an endcap and then those two shelves i snapped pics over where directly under it but I agree I went in on sunday looking for it and the girl was really rude to me as well and basicallysaying the same that they wont be out till the 18th(if I would have asked one of the girls that I know they usually check in back for meand will bring things out) Oh and when they say that they didn't get their truck that is bs they should get a truck ever thursday and sometimes on tues (my ulta gets one every thurs) how ever they dont know what is on the truck till it comes so they may not recieve it on that truck that week but I agree depending on who is working some are to lazy to take stuff out and stock it or go look in the back for more product.

I think they have told me in the past they get trucks on tuesday and friday here. Either way, if you call them over the weekend especially to ask if they got something, they say they didn't get their truck, try back on tuesday afternoon. On tuesday if you call, they don't have it yet, try back on Friday, LOL.
