I really don't think there is a great difference in the two. If you have waterfield on the way i wouldn't go out and bother to order the RCM one. I bet if I shook the crap out of my waterfield that I could get some more larger glitter to come out, LOL. It's a tad more in the RCM one, but that is also something that could easily vary from batch to batch, how much glitter they put in.

Ok I feel better. I fell in love with waterfield when I saw your Christmas mani. I thought it had a ton of bling but assumed you used two coats? If so, that'll work for me. :)

Yes it was two coats. Both the swatches I compared were two costs also. You'll have plent of bling with waterfield, just shake it up well, I find that brings up more glitter from the bottom.

I have never done nail art or had it done on me. I am going to a college tourney in a couple of weeks. I am thinking of doing a base of black stretch limo and then painting tiger paws on with the new gold. I have a few questions:

1. Do the designs face you or out to others?

2. Do you do your base coats of the black and cure like normal, then paint on the gold and cure it for the usual time too? Does that make any difference that the black is curing double?

3. Or do you use regular polish for the design?

I will be doing some practicing after I stop by Ulta and get the black. I already have the gold.

Thanks!!!!

I would do the black and cure, then do the gold design and cure. It won't hurt the black.

Sometimes when I do nail art I do my mani color and do the full thing from base cost, black, top coat, then do my design on top coat so when I mess up (because I always do) I can just wipe it away and not take off color, I leave the inhibitions layer on top coat so my design will stick better then cure design then do a top coat over cured design and wipe with alcohol then hope that makes sense :)

It does make sense. If you goof and wipe off the inhibition layer, it still sticks ok? I know if you want to add another coat on top of your top coat, you are supposed to buff it a bit.

Yeah I have had it stick fine but I know a lot of people have buffed it prior too. Also when I've done paw prints I have them face away from me or put them.sideways like walking across my nails :)

Thanks! I am not artistic at all, but I think I can do the paw prints. I think I just want it on one nail of each hand. If I could do letters well, I would do that on another couple of nails, but I doubt I can do those well. I will just have to play around on my nail sticks.

Have you ever tried nail art stamping I do that a lot too it takes some practice but its easier sometimes then drawing designs :) and they have plates with letters on them :) I always do those over finished top coat too

No, i haven't. Are they something I can find at Sallys or Ulta, or do I need to order them? Sounds like it might work better for me.

I ordered mine from Amazon but they sell a starter kit at family dollar or walmart As Seen On TV section called Salon Express. (Pic below) KONAD stamp plates are the originals, but there are many brands available now just have to read reviews to see which ones work. The 2ND (25 pc) bundle monster set is good the 1st one (21 pc) isn't very good the images aren't very clear. I think Konad brand is the one with letters not certain though.
