We had a family dinner tonight, only one daughter had already seen the snakeskin mani. She was too creeped out to touch it. The other two saw it when they got here, they thought it was pretty cool. My son even liked it! My DIL thought it was "very interesting". Everybody has different reactions. I like that, with the grey and black colors, it isn't obvious at first. You kinda have to have a closer look to realize what it is. It is holding up really well. Nothing more lifting up after that first bit that I had to glue down. The hardest thing is that I'm tempted to pick at it because there is a texture. But I've been making myself behave.
I found a pic I took of my attempt at a winter mani. The accent nail is done with rcm black stretch limo. The other nails, I'm not sure. I might have it written down somewhere and will let you know if I find it. They would be rcm or gelish as that is all I currently have. The design on the accent nail is my attept at making a blue and gold snowflake. I used the blue and gold stripe rite nail paints from Sally's. Also put a few pieces from a bigger type of glitter on there, kinda like putting on rhinestones. I'm not as precise as I would like to be, and my camera skills could use some improvement, but I'm just glad to finally be able to share some of these with the rest of you - thanks to a lot of help from a private tutoring lesson with a very good teacher via PMs. I could just not figure it out in my own. Here's the winter mani:
