Yeah!!! I found your picture here I was bummed cause I couldn't see it on the other threadI really like it and we have a million rattlesnakes around here therefore a million snake skins! Rattlesnakes actually do have a purpose! LOL
Lots of texture. I love it!!!!!!
Wow! I couldn't wear it (wilder manis/colors aren't acceptable in my job.....then there's the snakeskin issue lol) but you did a great job. Very unique!
I LOVE it. Everything works really well together. Very nicely done!!
Very different. I like different!
I love it personally! I have been wanting to try it since I first saw it probably closet to a year ago now, but I haven't found any snakeskin! Lol
Very interesting and looks terribly expensive. Nice job.
Oh my goodness - I was the one that started the whole "Eeeeewwwwww" conversation when they had the lizard on the NailsMag. But then ferret said she would do it and I was like "noooooooootoo!" I can't believe you did it.
It's interesting looking - from the picture I'm not sure I would think it was real if we hadn't talked about it. I'd probably say "huh - how did you do that?!" Nice classy colors too. But honestly, the eeeeww factor is definitely still there for me. I'll curious to see how long it lasts too.
That looks pretty cool!

My friend came over to check on me, I showed her the mani. She was trying to guess how I did it. Netting, lace, etc. When I told her it was snakeskin, she dropped my hand, screamed, and jumped away from me. Then stood there trying to shake the ick off of her hands saying "Ewwwww!!!!" It was great, her husband and I nearly died laughing.
See that would've been me if I didn't know!
Its very late and I'm on here all alone nowSo I will go to sleep now and wait to see what you think of it tomorrow. Let me know if you like it or if it just creeps you out.
NanaSue said:We had a family dinner tonight, only one daughter had already seen the snakeskin mani. She was too creeped out to touch it. The other two saw it when they got here, they thought it was pretty cool. My son even liked it! My DIL thought it was "very interesting". Everybody has different reactions. I like that, with the grey and black colors, it isn't obvious at first. You kinda have to have a closer look to realize what it is. It is holding up really well. Nothing more lifting up after that first bit that I had to glue down. The hardest thing is that I'm tempted to pick at it because there is a texture. But I've been making myself behave.
I found a pic I took of my attempt at a winter mani. The accent nail is done with rcm black stretch limo. The other nails, I'm not sure. I might have it written down somewhere and will let you know if I find it. They would be rcm or gelish as that is all I currently have. The design on the accent nail is my attept at making a blue and gold snowflake. I used the blue and gold stripe rite nail paints from Sally's. Also put a few pieces from a bigger type of glitter on there, kinda like putting on rhinestones. I'm not as precise as I would like to be, and my camera skills could use some improvement, but I'm just glad to finally be able to share some of these with the rest of you - thanks to a lot of help from a private tutoring lesson with a very good teacher via PMs. I could just not figure it out in my own. Here's the winter mani:
Thanks. I know alot of you like using the color blue in your nails. I never thought I'd like it. But you've inspired me, and I loved that mani. Hated when it grew out. And it did feel very wintery to me. When I find my other pics, I will post them as well.I think you did a great job on the winter mani too!

It depends on why they are peeling. There could be a number of problems. It would help if you could be more specific. My gel manicures are only lasting a week tops without the polish starting to peel off. My nails themselves are pretty peely so I think that has something to do with it. Are there any recommendations for getting it to stay on longer? I know there are bonding products or something, wondering if these will make the condition of my nails poorer than they already are though
