You can try *****************. I used them recently and they're OK. It took them 5 days instead of 24-48 hrs but I wasn't in rush :smile1: Good thing - you can chat with them and ask some questions before you decide if you want to use them or not.

Not to disparage your opinion, but I can't recommend this site :(

I don't think they're recognized by eBay/PayPal, though.

I love A4U. I always use them now unless I have something from a brand they don't authenticate.

For Chanel I would consider etinceler , though just because they're recognized as the foremost experts for that brand.

I didn't know they aren't good :( I tried A4U but they didn't authenticate item I had. I found AF and was ok with them. PayPal recognizes their certificates, not sure about ebay ( logically they should as the same company )

Their founder has been banned from here and other forums/facebook groups for shameless self promoting and asking questions about bags they are supposed to be authenticating. Their authenticators also authenticate via MOBILE phones and, like Carol - one person claims to be able to do MANY brands.

Oooo, I had no idea about it. I just wanted to say I would never use Carol Diva as I don't believe one person could be good at everything and it looks it is very difficult to find good authenticators. I wanted to use A4U because we are in the same country and it seems just right. Unfortunately they don't authenticate all brands. Searching this forum I found someone mentioning AF so I gave them a try. I had positive experience with them but my case was very easy, nothing tricky.
It looks like if I ever need help with authenticating item which A4U doesn't do and I'm not familiar with, I will be better off educating myself and result could be the same :smile1:

I've used Authenticate4U twice in the past week, the first was for an email evaluation for my Chanel bag I was selling on eBay, I received an authentication within the hour.

The second was for a Statement of Authenticity for a pair of Chanel shoes - my buyer had buyer's remorse and tried to pull the fake card. I received an 11 page statement within 48 hours.

I am extremely happy with their service.

To be completely fair- I have never used them and have no personal experience with them.

Just what has been written on other forums and sources - they have very questionable business practices. Oh - and they also plagiarized A4U's website almost verbatim when they started out:nono:

OTOH - I have used A4U for a couple of clothing items and their response was very fast, as CB mentioned.

That's the difference between a site or person who claims to authenticate everything vs. one that uses brand specialists.

One that uses brand specialists knows its limits, knows its areas of expertise and isn't ashamed to admit that they don't have someone (yet) who does a particular brand.

IMO, it's better to lose that potential income by being honest enough to admit to limitations than to accept someone's hard-earned money and possibly give them an inaccurate authentication.

Exactly!

How do they become PayPal/eBay recognized as an authenticator for disputes?

I couldn't agree more, that's why I think Carol Diva should finally admits her limitations. It's so sad to see her mistakes, and behind every mistake there are people potentially loosing their money. (recently she authenticated obvious fake Balenciaga as a real one- not good )
I wasn't complaining that A4U don't authenticate everything, just stating :smile1:

Can anyone tell me if the third party authentication service such as Authenticate4U.com that a lot of the authenticators suggest is the real deal?!?
(A bit surprised that the purse i found at the attic of my grandmother turned out to be authentic.. -> Authenticate4U just emailed me it's authentic... So i'm looking for a second opinion... Or people that have worked with Authenticate4U and afterwards took there bag to a store and have had positive:tup: or negative experiences..)

Thank you very very much!!! :flowers:

They have an outstanding reputation as being one of the best.

I see it is a Chanel you are referring to. You can also try enticeler and see what they say, if you are worried about it.

Same here if i google it.. no positive reviews.. (No negative either..) Can't find anyone in Belgium that knows this site..
I want to be sure the bag is real before I take it to the store.. It's the only thing I have left from my grandmother so I would be heartbroken if I bring it to the store for cleaning.. and they take it away and destroy it..
