Hi all - I am looking to have some neck work done. I am 35 years old. I had lipo to double chin already and had some result, but still unhappy with my mentocervical angle. I believe my issue might be to do with fat under the platysma, or hyoid bone position, or submandibular gland. I’ve done a virtual consultation with a well know clinic who I understood from research they are very good. However, I was slightly turned off as they recommended to me both face and neck lift, when I hadn’t asked for face. I’m 35 and feel objectively my face is actually in pretty good shape and doesn’t warrant a face lift yet. I’m also male and don’t want to run the risk of looking overly tight in the face. Secondly, when I asked if the Dr does work (if necessary) on the hyoid, glands or fat under the platysma, and the only do work on the fat under the platysma, so potentially I could still have a suboptimal outcome. does anyone know of any Drs who can do work on the hyoid and submandibular glands, if needed for a neck lift/platysma plication? TIA

Hi, I have the same issue here. Neck fat lipo itself wont help. Have you done your surgery ? Do you mind to share which clinic you went to ?
Hey! Yes, I did the surgery mid Sept 2023. I went to Shinsang plastic surgery. I found them by chance and they specialise in the double chin/neck. I had their “CPC” for the double chin lipo suction, tie of platysma muscle, and thread lift from chin to under ear. I also had their neck reduction surgery stage 1, which is just reduction of the digastric muscle under the chin. Stage 2 and 3 is for the salivary glands and submandibular gland, but Dr said I didn’t need that reduction.
I really liked Dr Lee at Shinsang and he immediately understood my concern, and I could see from Unni many successful cases. He even did an ultrasound under my chin to show me the fat underneath the platysma muscle that would need to be removed, which is only possible with going into the platysma.

Yes mainly happy. The things that I am not happy with I’ve realised is just due to my jaw anatomy and not failing of the Dr. I think all up I paid 4.3 mil KRW for all the neck procedures.
