Recommendations for high quality cashmere

I haven't gone completely through this thread but I have several cashmere sweaters from Jenni Kayne and I would not recommend the brand for cashmere. They pill horribly pretty quickly

Thank you! Its getting to be that time of year and I was considering Jenni Kayne as I keep getting discounts/offers from amex but I'll pass.

N.Peal is a good brand.

Loro Piana for knitwear I think they're the best

I have been thinking about stopping by the N.Peale outlet. Have you seen any issues with pilling/quality?

I loved the fit of the Jenni Kayne fisherman sweaters so much that I bought 3. However after several wears I noticed a great amount of pilling. I used a sweater brush from the laundress and it is never ending.

Thank you so much. I also love the look and fit of the sweaters but this is unacceptable for the prices they charge. All the posts I see on tiktok must be sponsored.

So I recently bought a sweater for me and a hoodie for my husband from Naked Cashmere. I saw a YouTube video by the Editorialist and their website talks about their sustainability and animal welfare practices. They feel amazing. I’m in Canada so enjoy a warmer sweater and these are quite dense. I will have to keep you posted about pilling but the video showed her taking care of the different sweaters she tried and then ranked them.
Thank you for sharing your experience with Naked Cashmere! I’m considering getting a cashmere set and wanted to ask if you’re still liking their sweaters. Have they held their shape well over time? Any feedback you could share would be really helpful as I decide!

I have really enjoyed the quality of mine so much so I ordered a second one. I now have two of the Joslyn sweaters and my husband has the hoodie that he loves. Light and very warm and of course I had a small amount of shrinking when I washed my first one but not out of the ordinary and the shape has kept very well. I am asking Santa for a cashmere comb as I have been learning to care for my sweaters better. As always you will get a bit of pilling. A bonus is that they do have sales and free shipping but even with the exchange rate I pay to Canada I think it’s a good value for the money. I did find seeing a made in China tag a but off putting but I’ll have to trust that this American company is sourcing and knitting in Mongolia (which yes I know is part of China) so I will have to trust their ethos is what their website says is, regarding fair treatment and quality. I am will be trying a different brand from Canada next time because I do hate surprise taxes.

Thank you so much for your detailed response! I decided to try Lululemon's cashmere and already ordered a few things, but will definitely keep Naked Cashmere in mind if I dislike Lululemon's quality.

TIL about the cashmere comb, Tysm! Is there a specific brand you prefer? I'm allergic to cashmere but dh enjoys these types of sweaters ( except for the pilling which the comb should help with)

Still looking into one (one I could get one Amazon but it had mixed reviews, I think mostly because of user error) but I wanted it made sure, so I tabled it until I could do further research on how people took better care back in the day before everything was so disposable. There is one from a company here in Canada I was going to order from however with the postal strike still on, I’m going to have to wait. In the interim I just lightly use my sweater shaver. I’ll keep you posted. So sad that you are allergic, it’s such a lovely light and warm fabric.
