If I want to invest in just one bag, it needs to be versatile and iconic. A few thoughts:

1. Bal black Classic City. Buy it from ******. With a 10% coupon, a brand-new one is $1,300. Bal City is iconic, versatile and has a high resale value.

2. I have to say LV canvas is really great: light-weight and easy to care for. Mono and DE print also goes with many different outfits. Neverfull and Speedy are both good options.

3. Chloe black or rock medium Paraty. It should be < $1,500 if you buy from ******. It is also an iconic bag. The shoulder strap option is awesome.

Just checked out the Chole, I keep looking at the Bals, But I can't get myself to fall in love with them.

But which do you like better in the Chole, Paraty or Marcie tote?

Agreed! LV never full is my go to - pretty much every day bag.

But which do you like better in the Chole, Paraty or Marcie tote?

I like Paraty much better because it can be dressed both up and down. Marcie is a bit too casual in my opinion. I also think the medium and large-sized look quite bulky. If you don't carry much, you can even consider a small Paraty which can be used as an evening bag too.

People complaint about the weight of medium Paraty. I actually went to the department store to try it on. I don't feel it heavy at all. I myself own a small Rock Paraty because I have too many medium-sized black bags and didn't want to get another one. But if I would like to invest in one designer "leather" bag, this will be the one.

That being said, if you are a professional and are looking for a work bag, Prada Saffiano or Fendi 2jours might be a better option. But I wouldn't pay the full price. I will only consider them if they are < $1,500.
