So, my home boutique has not received the pave Lapis necklace and bracelet in many years. She said it is even more difficult to come by than Turquoise. VCA HQs identifies who can be offered the limited pieces—Lapis, Turquoise, RC, Pietersite, Silver Obsidian, etc.

@maitha23 Congratulations on the offer! Did you buy the necklace and bracelet ?

Yes, certainly every boutique did not receive one to offer to clients. HQ decides who can be offered, and then they go down the list. I know for sure at least one was offered in the USA in this round because my friend was offered, but I have no idea how many there were for the USA. Just a few certainly.

I havent seen much posting about the silver obsidian/pietersite pieces. I wasn’t interested in the HP last year so I didn’t really give it much thought until I saw the silver obsidian in person. I know it’s very similar to GMOP but to me it’s….softer? I also think it pops better with the pink gold, maybe because of the more polished surface compared to MOP. I hope they keep producing those sets. Has anyone heard about that?

In late August, my SA offered me a 20-motif silver obsidian necklace. I think the necklace is more beautiful than the HP, which I purchased but haven’t worn as much as I thought I would. The obsidian slice is polished on the 20-motif and is a bit rougher on the HP, which I think adds to its beauty.

Nevertheless, I declined the silver obsidian 20-motif for two reasons:

First, I am waiting on 2 SO items in alternating Vintage RG Guilloche and GMOP—a 5-motif bracelet and a 10-motif necklace. Although the shade of grey are different between silver obsidian and GMOP I thought the pieces could be duplicative. And I only have so many pennies!​

Second, I am on the list for the 20-motif rock crystal necklace. About 10 days after my SA offered me to silver obsidian necklace the RC 5-motif bracelet arrived. Once my SA assured me the 20-motif necklace was coming and would be mine I bought the bracelet. The early photos of the RC set didn’t draw me in. Then I saw some of the modeling photos on TPF and knew it would fit with my wardrobe/aesthetic very well.​

Here are a couple of photos of the silver obsidian 20-motif that my SA sent me. She sent me a short video but I am too technically challenged to figure out how to upload it.

Are you allowed to take photos of the pieces on display? I think I speak for all of us here, in that we would love to see any beautiful and rare pieces if you happen to stop by again.

Thank you. I have always really liked the RG/GMOP pieces but never went for them. I would consider the silver obsidian 20 but I have an SO set with a 20 motif in RG/Onyx and I think that also might be too similar. Maybe someday when they open back up I would try to order a 20 RG/silver obsidian alternating with guilloche.

The 20 RG/silver obsidian alternating with guilloche sounds gorgeous. When I first conceived and placed my SO (June 2023) silver obsidian wasn’t on my radar. In fact, I am not sure it had been introduced in an Alhambra necklace yet. Part of my SO was approved this past March and another part in June. They told me 8 months, so I am nearing 8 months on the bracelet. I will share pics when it comes in.

I go back next Thursday I shall ask (but for usual windows they tell me it is not allowed 😪 so not confident...).

They had in the same exhibition a 20 motif with coral (pink salmon colour) that was just to die for ...

The former, and my understanding is after the pieces available in this re-launch have been sold, they will continue to have a piece available here and there unpredictably, continuously, as it has been in recent years.

No, not a lot. Most boutiques had 0 to offer, some had 1. I can only speak for 2 boutiques for sure, but they are both in the top 5 worldwide and they received 0-1 for the lapis for this release. However, it was allocated by Paris headquarters for individual clients, so theoretically 2 clients could be at the same boutique. How many have you seen offered and accepted for this round? Recall that the same client can only accept one offer in this wave (so one may be offered lapis and request if they can have turquoise, one client may be offered and decline and you see it offered to someone else, one may be “offered” but actually purchased from a friend or resale). I don’t think it’s an iceberg situation where you see 6 offered on various social media platforms or through friends + your own offer and can assume that there are actually 20x more offered worldwide. That is not the case. I suppose it is all relative. If you are wondering if this is your last change to accept or decline it; no, you can still get it down the road if you qualify now, but it appears to be the most plentiful rerelease that we can expect for awhile once this wave is sold.
