Correct.
The only version released for the public was the single motif Holiday Pendant.
That must be why that particular HP is so expensive. It was offered to me when it came out. I’m just not a pink person. Didn’t know about its rarity. Often VCA makes a HP then begins using it in their collection. Which I find disappointing.

does anyone know where to get an alhambra piece from the 1980s appraised/papers? I made an appointment at the VCA flagship store...they gave me a verbal authentication, but claims their system doesn't go back that far for papers and suggested I try sothebys for an independent appraisal. I've emailed sotheby's but haven't had any luck.
thanks!

See Patrimony Services section - Authentication.

$1800 and be prepared to wait longer than the stated 3-6 months.

For the authentication process, I did go to the Vendome store to have an older piece I bought second hand. You get a certificate that looks quite different from the current version. I can't remember how long it took since it happened over the Covid era and there was no travelling for a long time.

They found the serial number on their system and could see the name of the person who bought it but it did not say what the metal or the stone was. The SA also said if the stone (pink opal) chipped or broke, VCA could not repair it.

Does anyone know if they ever made RG GMOP VA or Sweet stud earrings? Or RG Pave Diamond Sweet stud earrings? I’m perplexed as to why there are so few earring offerings to go w/the RG GMOP necklaces and bracelets. Are these the sorts of items you can get special order?

These are all MTO/SO, which is currently on hold. They did make GMOP VA earrings in the past, and they were also a fairly common MTO item, so you can find them on the resale market with some patience.

It does look like stone and whatever it is probably needs a good polish. Maybe obsidian, since VCA is replacing TE with obsidian on some of the clips?

Tortoise shell looks fab, but there is no way I'd wear it now. I wonder how many ivory necklaces are out there in collections? You can't buy/sell ivory at all in Hawaii anymore. Not even any exceptions for vintage Ming's ivory jewelry. I wonder if VCA would ever consider using buffalo horn in place of tortoise shell in the alhambra line. It might draw in the horn lovers from H, and is so much more sustainable.
I love this idea. Horn is beautiful!!!!
