If you want a Ricky but can´t afford one/don´t have a RL retailer near you, I was just in Brussels where I came across this almost one-on-one handcrafted model made in France by the well-known, small leather goods company Charles et Charlus (it´s their Deauville model) - for a fraction of the Ricky price:

WHAT!!! Just stumbled on this thread. [emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️ my Ricky. Got it online when they had the major sale for like 1045 or so and thought I got a fantastic deal. Took 1/2 the day off to wait for it the day it was delivered. The leather is sooo yummy! Rocked it all of last summer. Shhh, I may like it a tad more than my Togo birkin. Yeah I don't think I've ever fully closed mine. It's not a wide open tote when you have it on your arm, it stays pretty closed together.

The only times I semi-close it by putting the flap over on the outside, but not bothering with the buckles, is when I have to go through TSA at the airport or put it in an overhead compartment on a plane. It's really well constructed so even when you just use the flap it doesn't budge really.
