I fell in love with the ricky when I went to san diego in May and cant get it out of my mind!
When will the next sale happen?
I would love a fun bright color like yellow or orange to add to my collection but i also would love bone or RL gold( i doubt these will go on sale but i can find a colorful one on sale it will justify spending full price on a classic color)

Trying calling a Ralph Lauren store that carries the Ricky bag and ask to speak to someone that is familiar with the Ricky bag (because you would be surprised how many people work there and no nothing about the merchandise) And Ask if any colors are on sale since summer is getting ready to end you may be able to snag something!! Also ebay has an orange with blue sides and a navy with yellow sides for $1,499.00 !!! Happy hunting!!!!!

Thank you! I called my Houston store and the lady I spoke with sounded like she didn't know much about the Ricky nor the sales. I told her I noticed there was a sale in May and asked when the next sale would be. She proceeded to tell me Ricky bags never go on sale. I told her that was weird because there were a few on sale online around that time but there weren't any colors I was interested in. I guess that sparked her memory and she said only the Ricky's with zippers went on sale. Needless to say, I won't be dealing with her.
Since it will be my first one, I would prefer to get my bag from the Ralph Lauren boutique. Do you know what colors could possibly go on sale? After looking again I would definitely be interested in pink, yellow, or blue.

It is really sad how someone can work there and not have a clue. It's frustrating because you would think they would know since they are there everyday lol but in the past year alone I have seen many Ricky's go on sale all without zippers lol. I'm thinking that the mauve color may be on sale because I keep seeing it pop up on eBay!!! I would call the Ralph Lauren boutique in New York City!!!! Everytime I have called that store they knew what they were talking about and were familiar with the merchandise!!! And they can ship it to you. Not 100% sure but I think it's on Madison Avenue!

I have just lately become OBSESSED with this bag. I really wish that the light brown, gray or tan came with gold hardware. I live in San Diego, and I'm going to pay a visit to the Orange County store very soon to get a better look in person.

Ladies that have owned the calfskin versions for a while: how are they holding up? Do they wear well? What about water marks?
