:back2topic: pleeeeaaase.... I actually forgot what this thread was about reading so much about push present/no push present....... Each to his/her own.

Cartier - Question

Can you really not remove the Love Bracelet without the screwdriver? I had heard about the screwdriver but didn't know that it HAD to be used to remove the bracelet. Or does it?

TIA!

Yes, it comes with the little screw driver that we use for the little screws. It's very delicate, so I wouldn't recommend using just anything. Sometimes, it's hard enough opening the screws with the actual screwdriver they provide & I worry about scratching my bracelet, so I assume it might be even more difficult to open them with some random item.

yes and no. you can use ANY small screwdriver to unlock it, not just the cartier screwdriver. but of course, like someone else pointed out, you don't want to take the risk of scratching or damaging the screws, since the screws are also 18K gold. BUT, in cases of an emergency where if you lost the screwdriver (which is gold plated, btw, not solid gold like the bangle), you can use a very small screwdriver instead (small enough for eyeglasses) . i have done this once for mine, but only because i was at the jewelry store having it polished and i had left mine at home.

I agree that the subject of push presents is off topic in this thread, so I won't belabor the point.

But, let the record show that you were the one who called me "rude" and "snide." As you so aptly put it, "there are no personal attacks allowed on this forum." Easier said than done I guess.
No I said your COMMENT was rude and snide, not you. I'm really over this so let's get back to the topic at hand. I'm not going to say anymore because obviously anything I say and EXPLAIN like in the entire paragraph that further explains COMMENT will be misconstrued when it was plainly stated COMMENT.

Back to Rachel! Someone kindly posted some great stills of her Cartier in the Celebrity Engagement Ring thread if anyone is interested.

She's very pretty in those photos....pregnancy agrees with her!

Aarti....I know you're in the process of re-building your jewelry collection & that you like Tiffanys. What do you think of Cartier?

I really enjoy some of their pieces, Contessa, and I am so tempted to get something from Cartier but I am trying really hard not to! I am trying to tell myself to wait another two years. I actually have also been growing partial to VCA... Their watches and jewelry are extrodinary. I love the vintage element. I like that each brand has their own look asthetically speaking. I am trying to get all my fashion jewelry sets from Tiffany this year, when I go overseas next year I plan on getting all my staples, diamond studs, DBTY pendants and strands and bracelets, cushion cut rings etc. Once I get the "go-to's" out of the way I think thats when I will start on brands like cartier and VCA.. By then I hope to have a somewhat permanent residence and have a safer home to house such jewelry. The place where I currently live is conducive to my career, but I have been the subject of burglary so I'd rather not purchase anything big until I move. But you never know next month I may be posting a "Oh boy... look what I just brought home from Cartier!" :p

Well, have just watched this vid - it annoyed me that there is a massive cartier advert next to the video playing. Rather than listening to her 'story' and her passion about cartier, I felt like I was watching one big advert persuading me to buy cartier.... Just feels like product placement to me. :(

Sorry to be negative, I normally love listening to RZ but for some reason, seeing a cartier advert next to the video has irked me

:flowers:

I agree the video is cute but the massive Cartier advertising next to it annoyed me. It's true what she says thought that if you give someone a Cartier piece they will wear it forever. In my family my aunt has a tradition and she has given all the girls a Love bracelet when we turned 15 (I have one, my sister has one, and all my girl cousins have one) and we have all worn them for years and will never take them off. It's become a symbol of sisterhood in our family :)
