nope, it's not the same bag (I think rakuten is ok? haven't bought anything from there, but almost did). my bag also has the zipper compartment and two pockets though, so similarish.

I did some digging today and found out my bag is the "Marianna" style, in "Dark Horse Black" haha. there's a bigger version called the Maria, and both are available at polyvore, here: Marianna, Maria

and yes, it's quite light! a bit heavier than my polyester bags I used to carry, but to be expected for leather and metal. ;P very comfy to carry. I don't want to put it down when I get home! :p

god, I love this bag more than I thought I could love a bag. I just want to cuddle it all day. so roomy, but not too big. and enough compartments to sort stuff. the bottom is adjustable so I can make it a 'rounder' or 'squashier' bag. it hangs comfortably off either shoulder, there are no obvious logos anywhere so I don't feel like I'm advertising a brand, I smile every time I catch a glimpse of it in a mirror. it's a little crazy.

I feel like rabeanco is some really well-kept secret, lol. at that price, THIS quality?! can't believe everyone else isn't on to this! then again, their online catalogue is so incomplete and unhelpful. wish they'd fix their site!!

True that! If only they will come up with some sort of a campaign/ advertisement and if bag lovers will give this brand a chance, they'll get hook as well :) With this price and this quality, it's a winner! But I hoe advertisement won't bring the price up, hehe.

I won't even bother wasting my money on PVC or nylon bags from popular brands just so people will see I carry those brands -- nuh uh! I love Rabeanco and if I'll get the chance to visit a boutique when I go to HK or SG next year, I'll see to it that I'll bring home one brand spanking new Rabeanco bag! Can't wait!!! :D

thanks! I'm hoping for a more colorful fluffy ball to replace it later, but for now it'll do. really want a pop of color. I actually started off bag-searching with "no black" in mind, but once I saw it, it was all over. the black is just so lush!

and yeah, agree with your sentiment about advertising. I too worry it'll become unaffordable once they make it to the mainstream. that, or the quality will drop! I hope never! I live in HK, maybe if you come visit and I'm available, I can take you around to the Rabeancos here? definitely wouldn't mind getting giddy over bags with someone likeminded. ;D and this time next year, I may be ready for a new bag too!

Wow, now that's something to really look forward to for next year! :happydance: I join my hubby onboard the ship he works for (as my little vacation for a few weeks) and they usually have HK on their schedule. Meeting you and shopping for my first ever boutique-bought Rabeanco bag would be such a treat and a memorable one too! "Borrowed" these 2 charms from my other bag. I so love the neutral color of this Rabeanco of mine! It can really go with any colors -- be it bag charms or even clothes! :))

I just bought this bag in camel because i want something classic that i can use for many years. But the red color looks very tempting too. The SA said i can change to red if i want to. Which color? Camel or Red?

ooooh that is a hard choice! but I think you have to go with your first instinct, which was camel. though, also depends on what color bags are already in your collection!

I don't know how to put it but let me start by saying I want to kick my own **tt for not knowing sooner that we do actually have Rabeanco boutiques (yes, not 1 but 3!) here in our country, in 3 of the most famous malls in the metro and all of which I go to!!! Aaaarrrggghhh!!!

I was so engrossed in looking for great Rabeanco bag deals on ebay ($36 excellent pre-loved against $270 for brand new overseas) and not 1 local seller ever told in their ad that we have stores here where we can compare the prices if we want to.

Yesterday, my friend and I were looking for a jewelry shop in the mall and I gazed upon 1 shop with the letters RABE and the remaining letters to complete the shop name was obscured by a post. Could it be??? I asked my friend and she said yes, it's Rabeanco! She knew that that store was there all along. And she also knew I love their bags! She said she always forgot to mention it to me whenever we're together! OMG! So obviously, I dashed inside and saw the beautiful collection. I was so excited I forgot to take pictures! Bummer!

Anyway, I fell in love with 1 black lambskin 2-way bag but I didn't buy it yet bec. 1.) Just bought a LV wallet earlier that day and 2.) There was only 1 left and it was a display item. I wanted 1 that's fresh and out of the package. So, I asked them to reserve one for me and call me when a new stock comes in.

But I didn't leave empty-handed of course. Since the LV MC Pochette Cles was out of stock in the LV store we went to earlier, I decided to get a key pouch in Rabeanco.

Here it is! My first ever, store-bought brand new Rabeanco key pouch that's super smooth, buttery soft in red lambskin leather. I LOVE IT!!! And the best part is, I now have a new shop to visit everytime I go to that mall. Super! :D
