I just ordered the Legacy Shoulder Bag in Whiskey, and the SA told me it was "vintage" leather and had to be cared for in a certain way, and that eventually it would crinkle up and look all "vintagey."

What does this mean? Does anyone have any pics of worn-in vintage leather?

Thanks!

I don't really have any info on it other than I know you are not supposed to use any leather cleaning products on it.
I'm also curious about the vintage leather... I mean where does it come from?

I think this is a good question for the Coach "textiles" department. I understand when a funiture company "distresses" wood for an antique look. I understand that vachetta is untreated, "untanned" leather. I assume that a "burnished" piece of leather has gone through some special process. I don't know what process a piece of leather goes through to make it "vintage." Is that just another word for an "aged" pieced of leather? It's a Coach mystery!
