Question about exchanges

Amateur hour here but I have a dumb question. Can I return my in store purchase at any store? I’ve told my SA that I want to return a bracelet but I won’t be able to get to them during the return period. Will I be able to return it to the store closest to me?

Can a online purchase from Hermes.com be exchanged in a Hermès store? F ex a belt strap?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but my SA said that frequent exchanges don’t look good on an individual’s profile. Unfortunately I’ve done 3 exchanges in the past week, all on different sized epsom shoes in the same style/ color. I was desperate for the color to work so bought in multiple sizes but unfortunately I’m not good with epsom leather on my feet. Can anyone advise if this will ruin my chances of getting a QB?

This is a very old thread but reviving in case someone else has questions about exchanges.

By exchange you mean return an item, get the store credit and then immediately buy items totaling $1700? Should be fine but with H and other luxury shopping, frequent exchanges aren’t super common.

Think about it - once or twice is ok but if you make exchanges a habit, your SA will never truly know if you intend to keep an item they suggest or just come back and exchange it. This undermines their job of learning your style to recommend appropriate things for you to buy. By exchanging, you’re saying “SA, you did a bad job of understanding my style needs, do better next time.” A good SA will modify their approach and observe what you buy, listen to details about your life, and pay attention to what you’re wearing at each visit to recommend items that they know will work for you. A bad SA will take it personally and simply deprioritize you as a client. Either way, even for a good SA, frequent exchanges are disheartening.
