Have you any recommendation for any birkin re-seller?
I heard of one pretty popular re-seller along Rue De Pompe or smthg like that..

I'm seeking alternative incase there isnt any in the FSH...

Dear Josiren,

Now you are making things really complicated! Guys on their own can be more successful at getting the ball rolling because they can plead ignorance :-). Your suggestion could work if you get separated in the shop and then he asks - desperately- how he goes about getting you a Birkin. If you need to be very specific about size and colour ( and I know I would be) then we are into Podium Order or Special Order territory and SOs as we know are hard to get an invite for and can take a long, long time to come. The question is - are you prepared to hold out for what you really want? If so persistence is required is you are an ordinary mortal and not super-lucky.

Fact is, for the first time ever....my DH is really getting me a Birkins! After years of pleading :graucho:

So we'll be trying our luck,perhaps in Jan... *cross fingers*

My DH is totally clueless on Hermes.. < what is Hermes?? > :confused1:
Hence afterall, getting him to try his luck to score a Birkins might stand a better chance than me...

Hello. My sis is staying in Paris due to her business, and she visited H shops and tried to get B for mother. But she only heard there would be no inventory this week.. do you think it's true or is it becuz we don't have any purchasing history yet?

Anyway she'll visit few days or 1 week more, is there any way she can do to get B during she stays in Paris?

From what everyone is saying, it seems very complicated to buy a Birkin! I love Hermes bags, the ones I have seen are just beautiful and the quality is remarkable.
I have wanted a Birkin for years now, and I have decided to buy myself one in August, as a "congratulations, you made it through chemotherapy!" present. However, I don't know if I will have any luck. Does anyone have a nice SA they recommend in Chicago? Also, I really like the Evelyne. Would buying that first help me establish enough with a SA where I can then ask about a Birkin? Thanks, everyone! I have lurked for some time now admiring all of your absolutely stunning collections, and really enjoy the pictures everyone posts :smile1:

Not always. My husband went into a H store while we were on holiday- I had already bought a Birkin a week before - and told one of the SA's that he wanted something special for me. They quickly presented him with a Lizard Birkin 25cm. Just like that. I told him he's buying from now on! :p

YOU definately deserve more than a Hermes....

I love Evelyne too...but realised that Victorias very pretty too...at the end of the day, you just have to keep an open mind on style and color range when it comes to H...
you'll never know what you gonna score in a store!

Thank you!!! I will definitely go in the store and keep an open mind, try on different ones to see what I like. You never know...and sometimes you are surprised by what ends up working for you! I am a little scared/nervous to go into the store....it seems like some of the sales associates may judge customers by the way they look. I lost all of my hair from treatment, and I am still self-conscious about my wig. Hopefully they are nice to me!

Actually i heard it from 2 tpfers with reliable news FSH may have somes B/Ks from now till next week. Hope your sis try everyday till she got it.
