Hah. I think most of us here have never heard of color polish. I'm happy to share this experience with everyone. Just wished my Jade adventure will be more smooth after this snake year has pass. Lol. :D

Ehhhh... For the Jade knowledge session, I try my best to explain. Abit difficult without bangles to compare. For dry bangle, it's more opaque & internal structure appears grainy.Moist bangle has more translucence and internal structure is very small, fine grain & smooth. Coarse grain bangle is like coarse sugar. You can see bits & pieces of grains in the bangle. Whilst fine grain bangle looks very smooth & clear. Oh dear... Don't think I'm doing a good job explaining. Next time when I see her, I'll take pics. Then I can do pictorial explanation. Lol. ;)

3jems, thanks for that well-spring of knowledge. Was checking out the photos of that bangle.. perhaps first indication of color polish is the general "overcast" of the hue. I think the eye always catches the 'odd' thing but the mind brushes it off. So lets pay more attention to our "animal" instincts.
So glad you got your money back and your confidence too.

Bernie, your new bangle is so dreamy! I'm glad you decided to get it because it really has such a dream like tenderness to the forms. They are full and gentle, like fluffy clouds! Those pictures of Chinatown are so interesting. Sigh.....how I could loose myself there for hours! Yeah, those anklets caught my eye immediately, lol! I also love the windy, grey sky in the background of the pictures. Such a feeling of cosiness, the bright red colors against that sky!

Germanshepard, you are right, that bangle has amazing carvings! I can't bid because I've got too many other things going right now! Some one is fated to be the owner of that bangle! Sigh....it had such a glassy translucence too...

NYC, Princess, your new bangles are GORGEOUS!!! I'm sure that those are grade A. Really nice price you paid, WOW!

Dynasty, I like the carved bangle. Though it is glassy and nicely carved, the color is not strong, so I think you could be a little more aggressive about what you offer. You could try 700-800. Of course, you can later up your offer. BTW, that soft grey with the carved flowers is a beautiful contrast. It's a very interesting piece!

Junkempo, I agree that the yellow bangle is TDF. Haven't been able to get it out of my mind either! I hope it's fated to be yours!!!

Daisy, wishing you a speedy recovery! It's so yucky to be sick. At least you can rest today and maybe look at lots of jade.

Hi jadenthusiastic! Welcome and thanks for sharing your bangle! What an amazing jade. It's so earthy and I love the shiny "flies' wings" ( a term for glittering jade crystals) in your bangle! Lovely, lovely! Does your bangle have a story that you would like to share??
