Too bad about the lavender one, but I am interested in it's color and what she wants for it so I can compare and buy from her when I am next ready! Same with the blue, which is my favorite color. Especially the color of yours. Your really kind to do that, and I am pleased to have another perhaps better jadeite connection. Wish I could jade shop in Hawaii. Can't imagine a place with a more fitting spirit for jade and pearls! The soft breeze, the nature, the fruit and the water!
I know clairejune, too bad that the lavender is too small. She might have others tho, I will ask her. She has a lot of connections and so she has lots of jades. I think her prices are really good from what I have been seeing on line. I will see her on Monday and let you know.

Hi ladies, if u have a chance to get a bangle in the colour u always wanted but the size is a tad bigger than what u normally wear, will u do it?

I've been looking for a yellow-white bangle for ages & i came across a nice one at a good price (only $450!), but the size is a little bigger. I usually wear 57 or 58mm. This one is 59mm. It wont fly off my wrist or anything, but it does rather dangle around a fair bit. And of course it doesnt look as fitted to my wrist as it should. But i think if i pass up on this one i may not find another quite like it in terms of colour distribution. There is just something abt this one that calls to me.

What would u do?? Does 1-2 mm make a big diff? I really love it. Wish it is a little smaller.....do u suppose people's wrists get thicker as they age? My mum claims it happens, so i she says i should always get bigger rather than smaller sizes. What do u think?

Sorry i dont have any photos

I think your wrist will get bigger but not definitely sure about that. Only 1 mm doesn't seem that much bigger. I think I would get it. That is a really good price. Post pictures as soon as you can. I got a yellow and white one too and I really really love it.

I also wear 57-58. My green bangle is 60, and though it does move more, I wear it just as much. I don't think it makes a huge difference. It feels a bit different which just takes a little getting used to. If I were you, I'd get it, especially since you love it. Maybe it's just the jade you need!

I'm very tempted but if i do get it, i cant buy anymore jewellery for a long time....or at least until Christmas! Lol :p

Breadngem, regarding the too big green/yellow/red one, I'll post pictures when I get it back from the re polisher. He is always 6 weeks backlogged with work. I haven't posted yet. I know it's hard to make a decision and have that be it for a while budget wise. I had to do the same. If you love it, you can't do better than that. I think you should trust what your FIRST impression was when you saw it. If it was calling out to you, I think you should get it and wear it everyday to get used to it, and to get proper enjoyment out of it! Hope I can see photos of it.

all my bangles are way too big (i.e. i wear size 51mm and the two bangles i currently wear are 57mm and 55mm). the 57 is really thick and clunky, about 17mm wide. i actually wear a wooden bead bracelet as a "stopper" so my 57 bangle won't hit my hand so hard ever time i straighten my arm. i've been wearing it for about 6 mths w/o ever taking it off (except to play with) and it doesn't bother me.

i love looking at everyone's jade pics!!

So I was thinking that my blue was a bit on the lavender side so I compared it to my lavender bangle and then realized that it is actually more blue. Isn't it interesting how the colors can play tricks on you. It is really obvious when you put the two together.

OMG....they both are gorgeous ... congratz on your new blue bangle!:yahoo:

Is there any particular reason u choose to get a bigger size? Is it for ease of puting them on and taking them off or just bcos u like the look? I love the look of a snug bangle but i'm too terrified of getting them stuck i never dared to go smaller than 54mm, even tho my wrists are thin.

I definitely would get it. The price is right and the color is perfect.

Thanks for ur input!

Do u find it comfortable? Does it bang around alot?

It's very comfortable! The only time it bangs around is when I'm sitting at a desk working, then I take it off and put it on the desk beside me.

Wearing a bangle when asleep is another matter altogether though - fine if you're used to it but, if you're a restless sleeper, there's a danger of clonking yourself (or someone else!) or the bangle slipping off. Probably better not to wear it in bed...:p
