I remember when the paraty came out in python and friends from here bought them. They mentioned some curling but that no lotion was meant to be applied. It will hold up well on its own.
I have two python paraty(s). One big and one small. Both python scales will curl up slightly over time which is part of the charm. No python is extremely durable, and I never had to take care of either bags. They are both over 8 years old.
