 You should have seen me the first time I tried to use one of those magnetic circle things - unfortunately, the table was thicker than expected and my brain just stopped working. Only for a split second, but still. I'd much rather invest in something that works in many situations. The magnetic one I had was a gift, so I didn't lose any money. I keep that one now as a pretty paperweight (and it is pretty!)

*** Just checked Facebook for "Clipa" and they are doing a give-away - when they reach 1000 fans they're giving away a gorgeous Donald Pliner handbag to 1 lucky person who has 'liked' them!

yup, those things are pretty fail for me too..plus my bags are always super heavy, always afraid i'm gonna tip the table over..haha.

susan. that's actually a great idea too!

Betty, the Clipa holds up to 45 lbs - they are also useful for holding luggage and sports duffel bags, not that I have a use for the Clipa for those things... I already know where my Clipa is going to be most useful: When I am home, my bag sits in a kitchen chair that DH is always moving when he sits there to look at the computer we have in the kitchen... with the Clipa, I will be hanging my bag on the back side of the chair, where it will be in nobody's way!

Clipa only needs 6 more "likes" on Facebook before somebody's name is drawn for that gorgeous Donald Pliner bag they are offering to one lucky winner! And no, I'm not affiliated with Clipa in any way, I just love their 'purse hook.'

I actually dont use any purse hooks or clips because I dont want dents in my handles (my bags are on the heavier side typically and I know they would cause creases)

Instead, I carry one of these in every bag I own. If I am out somewhere and I dont have a chair available to "seat" my bag on I whip it out, put my bag inside, and then hang my bag from the back of my chair or down at my feet. Works like a charm!

Yep, been doing this for years too! Also great for putting purses through security... I put it one of these and I don't worry about damage to it.

^^That is an awesome idea too-never thought to use it then!!!!! Thanks for the tip!
NP, only airport that didn't appreciate my bag in a bag technique through the scanner was KCI, but I told them the reason for it was because I didn't want to damage my bag and since their feeder belts can be rough and I've been told before not to put purses in the bins I do that instead.

What kind of purse hook do you all use...if you use one??

I hate when we go to restaurants and there is no where to set my purse...and the speedy is not going to hang on the chair...

so looking at purse hooks...do they really work? even with BIG bags??

thanks !!!:smile1:

My mom purchased one for me from Macy's. I absolutely love it and hate when I forget it in another bag! It really does work, I strongly suggest getting one - I've purchased a few as gifts for my girlfriends :smile1:

There are some really pretty ones by Purse Candy I found at Marshall's, places like that... made with crystals and are quite beautiful! I have a dragonfly and a flower one I adore. They work well with heavy bags, and flatten out to store in the pocket of my purse. My dragonfly one gets more oohs and ahhs than my bag does.
