Purse Hooks / Hangers

Does anyone have a problem with the pursehooks leaving a dent on the bag handles? It seemed to happen especially on my bags with rolled handles! :(

I don't use them for that reason. My LV bags have roll handles. They just get there own chair, or they site under the table on a "baby changing pad" so it doesn't actually make any contact with the floor. It is also water proof.

I found a new style purse hanger at a local boutique for only $19.99!

Down to three, I felt like Sybil arguing with myself about narrowing down the choice to only one! :D I KNOW I'll be going back for another - there were so many gorgeous choices, in both goldtone and silvertone with a dazzling array of rhinestone designs. It weighs 2.2 oz and held my shopper very securely, despite it topping out at a wee bit over 8lbs!

So, without further ado, here is my new purse hanger: (I'll have to spread the photos over a few posts as I think 3 is the limit?)

I carry one in my bag but I seldom have to use it - all of my favourite restaurants have booths or banquettes so I just keep my bag on the seat next to me.

The one time recently that we were in a busy place and couldn't get a booth, we sat at the bar and I was just about to get my purse hook out when I noticed they actually had hooks under the bar (on the customer side) for hats/bags!

^that's what I love about the Clipa - it remains on your bag (if you like) so when you grab it and your bag it clips automatically and falls down the strap and off you go - . I just ordered one after watching the great demo video on their web site. And they are gorgeous yet unobtusive. I've tried to use the 'circle magnetic' clips and those just don't work for me, especially if I need to hang my bag on a stall door or some other 'non-flat' surface.

exactly, although some of the magnetic ones are very pretty, it just isn't very practical if i table is thicker than normal..and it doesn't hand on door stalls in the bathroom. that's the biggest plus about the clipa!

 You should have seen me the first time I tried to use one of those magnetic circle things - unfortunately, the table was thicker than expected and my brain just stopped working. Only for a split second, but still. I'd much rather invest in something that works in many situations. The magnetic one I had was a gift, so I didn't lose any money. I keep that one now as a pretty paperweight (and it is pretty!)

*** Just checked Facebook for "Clipa" and they are doing a give-away - when they reach 1000 fans they're giving away a gorgeous Donald Pliner handbag to 1 lucky person who has 'liked' them!

I actually dont use any purse hooks or clips because I dont want dents in my handles (my bags are on the heavier side typically and I know they would cause creases)

Instead, I carry one of these in every bag I own. If I am out somewhere and I dont have a chair available to "seat" my bag on I whip it out, put my bag inside, and then hang my bag from the back of my chair or down at my feet. Works like a charm!
