It's much easier for them to snatch it off the chair next to you. Or the back of your chair.
They're unusual, not weird, but I've never used one and don't exactly feel the need to. I am okay with putting my bags on the floor or on the seat behind me. Germs, germs, they're everywhere. I just need to wash my hands more frequently.
Does anyone use a purse hook for their BE's when youre out eating to keep them off yucky floors etc? Most of the ones I have seen look like they wouldn't hold the BE bags with the wider straps. Like they're for little bags . I know there is a general thread for this in the forum but BE's werent mentioned.
I have a Fumi purse hook which doubles as a bracelet. It's weight capacity is 25 lbs. It's pretty sturdy and I've had no problem with mine, and I STUFF my purse with a lot! And I have a TME Midi.

The Cilpa is also a bag hook that doubles as a bangle. It's great because it's slim and doesn't take up too much space in my bag. It can hold up to 45 lbs and is really stable. http://www.clipa.us/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?search=action&category=0010

...clip it on your wine glass at parties!
Too good! (Or the clip it on your head rest in the car so when you slam the brakes your handbag does not go flying - - - running to hide pretending that has never happened to me.)

For in the car I buckle my handbag in with the seat belt if it's on the front seat beside me- I never want a BE flying on the floor mat!

I just got my Clipa and I love it! I didn't even think about attaching it to the head rest of my car, but I will now! I'm guilty of having to pick up all my stuff from my car floor when my un-zipped/un-snapped purse went flying :shame:
Love my Clipa also. It holds 45 pounds--more than any one I've seen and blends in with my bag beautifully. The thing I like best about it is that it goes on the bag strap so I can use it in a flash. It looks darling stacked with bangles on your arm too so you get double use out of it. It's under $20 and the shipping is so cheap: $3.25 or something like that.
I love my CLIPA as well -- it is the best one I've used and it's so convenient to clip on the handbag itself so you don't have to search for it in your handbag.
