Purple bags, Can they be used year round? Anyone own any?

IMO red and purple look great together as long as they have the same intensity. But I like color!

I have had my eye on Bal's fall purple, I think its a great color. I would definitely wear purple all year round if it was a medium-dark shade, but lilal and lighter purpley colors should stick to spring/summer.

I think if it's a dark purple it can be worn year round. Violet or lilac might be better suited for Spring an Summer, but I don't think anything is wrong with wearing a lighter color in Fall and Winter as well if you want to. I have a Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini in violet which is a very dark purple shade. It is one of my favorite bags I own because of the unique color.

When I usually think of purple, I think of a darker shade thatI would wear in fall/winter.....I'm just not a fan of the pastel purple.

I have a Zac Posen in Amethyst, that I usually only use in the winter & fall. But I think that is possibly because it is so large and slightly heavy. Too much to carry around in the hot, sweaty summer months.

And I think the dark-ish color is more lent towards the colder months.

I just got my purple Ferragamo a month or so ago and have been carrying it almost every day. But it is a bright purple so I'm not sure I will carry it in the winter

I am now (as of today) the proud owner of 3 purple bags: a Jimmy Choo python Rianne in purple and gold, a purple Jimmy Choo Mahala and my HG bag, which arrived today, the Jimmy Choo Riki in purple crocodile. I agree with those that said if it's a dark purple, it can be worn year round. It's surprisingly versatile!

i have a purple goldenbleu jordan satchel. it is TDF. it is DEFINITELY year round.
this pic i have attached looks kinda black, but if you look close, its a deep purple. it's "amythest". it is a much brighter purple IRL!

I just recently purchased a Belen Echandia Love Me-Midi in Purple.
I love this bag and plan to use it most of the year as long as there's no snow on the ground!!

I have quite a few purple bags actually. I started having a craving for them about a year or two ago. I have a Belen Echandia Love Me and a Bulga medium butterfly bag in purple, a Kale Tate in fig and a Banana Republic bag in patent purple. I also have a Tano Mini Lisa coming next month in Grape! I find the colour goes with practically anything. No reds, pinks, etc but generally it really does go with a lot of neutrals. I'm still not sick of this color!
