Here is my other Evelyn i purchased in 2013. Just to show side by side. I’m trying to figure out how you can definitely tell the other two are the same bag as some have done by zooming into the pictures.

Also i looked at my receipt and i bought the OP in 2018. i may have said 2016 but i was wrong.

if you compare pebbling of the grain on the tab, just above the slot where the tab goes into the bag you can see an identical pattern #37. the right-hand picture is clearer

Ok i see what you see. the new color really isn’t Feu don’t you agree. it’s like they washed over the orange poppy. The manager still hasn’t gotten back to me. Only the automated email saying the bag is ready for pick up and it can’t be repaired. This is how he says he will “personally take care of this”. I’m sending one more email to corporate aftersales in munich with everything laid out (from sept to now) and ask what happened to the bag. I have received different stories and none make sense. it’s not quite Feu or Orange Poopy. I did speak to a lawyer today ( a colleague) and we think there was a mistake they don’t want admit to making ( obviously) but seems strange coming from a company with such a reputation for quality.

I am sorry this happened to you. The whole incident sounds weird. I hope the manager will handle this matter personally as he said.
If I were you, I won't call or email in December anymore because it's the most busy period of the year.
Fingers crossed.

I am not in a position to comment on the colour, other than to agree that the photographs are different. There is a consensus that something seemed to have gone wrong and that there has been some attempt to cover it up. Before you send your final email, read through everything you have shared on this thread and get a very clear picture of the sequence of events, because various details have emerged as the exchanges have progressed.
Stick to the facts and avoid suppositions.
As I have just suggested to another poster with a problem, you need to be clear of the outcome you seek: a replacement bag; compensation; a restoration to Orange Poppy; just the truth?

I agree, make sure you tell them what you want.

Be explicit, clear and polite - we all know how 'sensible and particular Hermès is'. See what's possible, I'd personally go for a store credit - it would be a win win situation both for you and the store.

Yes, the color seems off! I definitely would complain but in calm manner but with a strong firm tone that this is not satisfactory! Yes, they can spray paint a bag a different color but why not re-paint back to the original color it was? Am i wrong in this process? Also, this may have been asked earlier but is the serial number of the bag the same one? If anything, i would NOT take the bag back! This is a total BS! I would take a store credit or exchange for a new bag! Unless you dont mind the new color!

So, if this IS the same bag: I stand by my former post:
Well,
if this is true and if it is the same bag - then something is wrong here -
the strap with fabric could not possibly match the allegedly different coloured bag. INSERT: ANYMORE
Furthermore: would any other store besides FSH be authorised and have the possibility to dye a whole bag? As far as I know, this can only be done by FSH. Of course, I could be wrong.

Also to add..the OP said they sent in the strap (mistakenly) and it was returned "filthy" I'm not understanding this part.
