Wishing them the best. I was thinking about the challenges of figuring out how to involve her fiancé's child in their life with the royal family, but then I thought of how Crown Princess Mette-Marit and CP Haakon of Norway seem to have done a great job with this.

I think Beatrice can be very motivated. I remember when she got all kinds of unfair negative press at a young age for a bikini photo, and she responded in a very positive way, got really fit and went on to run the London Marathon, something very impressive I think. She also got all kinds of flak for the infamous "toilet hat" for William and Catherine's wedding, and then went on to auction it for charity at upwards of $130K.

Having unique looks is a good thing - who wants to blend in with everybody else? That works for a while as a kid, but striking looks win out in the end, I think.

Kudos to her for marrying whom she wants, and to the royal family for entering the 21st century.

"Our family has known Beatrice for most of her life. Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love for each other is there for all to see," they said.

So why did he have a relationship with the mother of his child, who is only two. I'd like to know his back story.
I'm sure this information and then some is coming soon.:P

It'll be interesting to see how public or low key this wedding is. After all, there are a lot of storylines to keep it from being one you get swept away in the romance ... father of the bride being involved in the investigation of an underage sex trafficking ring ... mother of the bride who fell out of the good graces of her husbands family after some embarrassing affairs ... groom who called off an engagement to the mother of his child to date the bridge ... not exactly the stuff fairy tales are made of. But the engagement pictures are lovely.
I’m here for it

I wonder if her wedding will be televised?

can you imagine what the reporters will say anytime the cameras zoom in on her father?

hopefully they - reporters- will behave themselves as her father walks her down the aisle at least.

You all are making me feel bad for Beatrice! First she’s criticized like it’s her fault she wasn’t born looking as beautiful as a super model, as if only gorgeous princesses have value. Then it’s implied that she can’t possibly have had a handsome man actually fall in love with her, so he must be a social climbing con artist. Again because she isn’t pretty enough!

Anyone who thinks royalty has it easy is out of their mind.

you have a point
but I think even if she was considered pretty, the argument could be made he was "in love" with her due to her being a princess, esp when the mother of his child is beautiful and smart

Looks have nothing to do with it when you’re royalty. Would Will attract Kate if he was a plumber. Would Diana have looked twice at Charles if he owned the grocery store where she shopped? Two respectable occupations after all but the Windsors aren’t exactly handsome men.

I mentioned Bea has a better side for photography (hello Ariana Grande and Streisand) but that’s just an observation, not a critique.

There’s something off about him and that’s what’s getting people wondering, I think.
