I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

You're far more generous than I am. My guess is that her figure and her behavior are just bi****ness and blow.

A thought on that was she stopped using whatever she used to keep weight off during her "hollywood" days, looking back at her childhood pics she was not a slight child. The very slim MM started to appear in HS and college. I think her face has had filler pumped in, that might explain the fullness AFTER Archie's arrival. She has lost weight recently, imo, but that's getting easier to do in "hollywood". Look at Oprah--suddenly all skinny though she has been the big cheese at WW for years. Hmm ...

This is what I've always thought, that the pregnancies were real but the belly was fake. She wore it to draw more attention to herself, to make people think she was further along than she actually was, to throw the due date into confusion, to garner even more attention and because Harry really does hate the press that much and enjoyed messing with them.

I think Trevity-Trev-Trev knows her to the core and wants to stay as far away from her as possible. Kind of like trying to avoid the Eye of Sauron, he does not want to draw her attention to himself.

He's remarried, has a lovely wife and at least one child himself, and has a real Hollywood producing career. He doesn't want the headlines if he started talking and then have to deal with Meg and her hired PR people (and sugars) coming after him. If she does write her own "memoir" one day and isn't kind to him, well, all bets would be off then. He could damage her significantly as they were together for 10 years and he probably knows a lot about her, Doria, her father and her siblings (which is why she'll continue to stay silent about him).

Funny the world we live in these days. I know, BRF has well-run, powerful PR machines etc but how can we think of this couple as evil, esp Kate who is often made the scapegoat by the sugars? We see the same videos but sugars see Kate as evil and I see M as evil.

Of course I don’t know them personally but these people look like any other public figures going about their duties as required. No whining, no lying, no scheming, unlike the other duo. They do a good job modernizing the monarchy and highlighting important causes.

Which brings me to my opinion that BRF is in a difficult place. As an institution, they need to be careful in this strange time. Like any other institutions or companies, they have to embrace' wokeness'. Imagine the spin in the media and by the sugars if BRF strips H of the title and banish H&M to obscurity.

I disagree on how BRF or KC seems to bend backwards for them but I can understand their position. I think if they continue to appease the two idiots and break their own rules to please them, BRF as an institution should just cease to exist. But optics is everything these days. They have to appear woke.

Many of us don't know Kate or TW in person, but we do know that one of them doesn't get along with the family, and has participated in interviews/reality shows disparaging others. The choice is…

The Duchess of Sussex expressed her concerns about unconscious bias in the Royal family in a letter to the King, The Telegraph can reveal.
It is understood that the correspondence was sent in the wake of the March 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, in which the Duchess alleged that a member of the Royal family had speculated about the colour of her unborn son’s skin.

A source has said that the Duchess feels she has not received a satisfactory response to her concerns, and that is believed to be one factor in her decision not to attend the Coronation on May 6.

It is understood that her letter was sent in reply to one from the King. He is believed to be the only senior member of the family to make contact with the Duchess after the interview.

Then Prince of Wales, he is understood to have expressed sadness over the chasm that had emerged between the two sides of the Royal family.

He is said to be disappointed that the Duke and Duchess felt the need to make such high-profile and damaging allegations.

In the interview, the Duchess told Winfrey that there had been “concerns and conversations about how dark his [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born”.

A source claimed that the letters make clear the identity of the senior member of the family who made the comment.

It is understood that both the King and the Duchess acknowledged that the individual’s remark was not made with malice and had been considered an innocuous observation.

The Duchess is believed to have thanked the King for his words. The Duchess’s letter is also said to suggest that she had never intended to specifically accuse the individual involved of being a racist, but was raising concerns about unconscious bias.

However, it is understood that she does still consider the comment to be racist…
