I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I believe @CarryOn2020 suggested France for the Harkles, and this video supports it. The Harkles would have a hard time with ArcheWathever, BetterWhatever, or other questionable ventures there imo.

I think the article in the Daily Mail pegged it correctly. It said that she was told that she would have to curtsy to Camilla, Catherine and Sophie. To Meghan that was a humiliation that she would not stand for. It was a setup so that she could be invited along with Harry, but also a guarantee that she would not show up.

Hmmmm, does that mean she will never participate in Royal life going forward?

BTW I don't get the sugars' fixation with how now no mixed raced family member (using the term loosely) is at the coronation and it's the same white people. My question is, do we HAVE to have mixed raced or black family members in an obviously European, white family? Had she not turned out to be a massive jerk and nutjob she would have been there, so she's not excluded because of her ancestry. How many white family members are there in any of the Nigerian royal families? The Moroccan one? Sheikh of Dubai was married like 15 times and all of them were from various Arab countries if they weren't his cousins to begin with. I feel this is such an unrealistic standard.

The Ottoman Royal Family was the only family to incorporate slaves (against their will of course) as Sultans often had slave 'girls' as mothers. Mostly white slaves of course. Slavery, forced labour, indebted labour was a worldwide problem, and still is.

As Derrick Gay (Diversity and Inclusion Strategist) says diversity looks different everywhere. American-centrism as a world-view is a huge problem and block to any meaningful strides forward.

Why would any members of the BRF ever trust her again? Who would want her slithering around their private homes, taking pictures of their sleeping kids, taping private conversations of them and their other guests, and telling every thief within a hundred miles where the family silver and the Olde Masters' paintings of their ancestors were kept? Not to mention having to listen to THAT VOICE telling everyone within 200 meters how WONDERFUL she is and what a BIG STAR she was.

Nana & the BLG. I disagree with BLG's interpretation of Tom Bower's comments. TB is right imo, Kate was a big factor in TW's decision of not attending the coronation. How could TW be relegated to an obscure seat, no tiara and be in the same room as the Princess of Wales in all her splendor.
